He even sent a certified letter. If she was really willing to pay, she would’ve done it already. Her statements barely made sense. And she claims to have hired protection, because the guy stopped by once to collect payment. If her kid was screaming, it was probably because she knew her mother was deranged. Oh please Karen, with the work he did was worth the money. Last summer we had a lean to attached to our house to cover our heat pump next to our garage to keep it covered from the 5-6 feet of snow we get every winter. Our handyman spent almost 3 days building it . 2 posts had to be concreted into the ground, then framed, attached to our house, tar paper then the tin roof. It was almost $1K. Heck we pay a teenager $15 an hour to do landscaping around our property. And we have to pick him up and take him home (60 miles round trip).

I couldn't wait till the judge made her decision, listening to the defendant lie, con, and manipulate were sheer torcher! Bless the plaintiff for his patience and tolerance. He prepared well and had the worker show up to testify.

Talking about how she had to " go save the family business " for a month and a half out of state, then have surgery afterwards to, literally, save her life *eyeroll* -- I can imagine she's run out of money and just can't pay for the work she had done, or perhaps doesn't want to... it's difficult for an alcoholic to get their affairs in order, and to manage a 10 year old child as well, as a single mother without a husband. I hope she gets the addiction treatment she needs, and is able to find a husband, and stabilize her life, for her sake, and her child's.
