I was uncertain about watching this because when I saw the title, "Taking Too Much Dough-Rey-Me" I thought the cause of action was going to involve something such as the cost of singing lessons. Plaintiff/tenant comes to court with evidence. Defendant/lawyer comes to court with messy lipstick and NO evidence of photos or receipts....just her flapping gums(as this Judge did say) You can't make this stuff up. The judge made a proper ruling. I'm glad the plaintiff won.... as she should.

I hope the person in comments 4 hours ago has re-listened and watched with the CC on to now know that she said "I am" to the judge's direct question of "are you an attorney" after the plaintiff said the defendant is an "Ohio real estate attorney." They must have given out that degree like ice cream on a hot day.

I really think she thought that just because she was an “attorney” that it would give her some sort of power over the plaintiff and that the judge would automatically just believe her. Everything about her irritated me. Her facial expressions, attitude, everything.. gross.

For M&M, she admitted to being an Attorney Plaintiff: Um, I got a letter from Ms Coy, which she is the Ohio Real Estate Attorney. Judge: Are you an Attorney Ms. Coy Defendant: I am, um the company is owned by my husband....etc. But even if she was just a Legal Secretary, it must be a really dodgy outfit if they can't prepare a brief for a very simple court case.

I can't believe the defendant is a lawyer, she had NO EVIDENCE, obviously lied about seeing the holes in the wall herself and obviously lied about her daughter putting her phone in the toilet. And her attitude at the end to disrespect the judgement like that saying 'It's ridiculous, whatever!' and then rolling her eyes, is just terrible...

Wait… the defendant is a lawyer that’s being sued for withholding the plaintiffs security deposit. Yet, she didn’t realize the judge was going to ask for a silly thing call PROOF that she actually spent $180 to re-key a lock?? 🙄 🤔 (edit: she had NO PROOF of any of the damages she alleged) I wouldn’t want her legal services if she offered them for free. #ThanksButNoThanks 🙅🏾♀️🙅🏾♀️🙅🏾♀️
