This is the most important video a Muslim family can hear. We must help our children to live in a non Muslim world. We must be more loving to our children so they will grow strong in their faith . I'm a non Muslim and a teacher. Many of my students are Muslim. I see how happy these kids are when we have a discussion about life. and they can express themselves. We must teach our kids to love their faith. I do not want Muslim kids leaving their faith for this Godless world. I will work with any family to help their kids to love their faith and to stay close to God. May peace be with all parents. You are not alone some of us care about you and your kids.

MashaAllah the wisdom this man has just amazes me. I’m a mother of 9 and the majority of what he has said I truly can testify to. I’m struggling with my two oldest boys (15 & 13). We didn’t shove religion upon them. My husband and I thought we were leading by example, we thought we had open relationships with our boys we gave them our time, attention, family vacations, they accompanied us frequently to the masjid sand Islamic conventions, etc. But just as Nouman said we now find ourselves asking what happened, where did we go wrong? It’s a daily battle trying to build a different connection idk if it’s being a teenager or if I have truly lost my boys. But I would like to point out what I haven’t hear any Sheik speak upon. What about those kids that had an awesome up bringing that genuinely loved Quran and not only learning but being engaged in Islamic affairs/activities? What do parents do when their kids become teenagers and somehow seem to be brainwashed into believing “only their parents act this way” when even the other teens at their Muslim school don’t configure to an “Islamic” identity. How as parents do we keep that love for Islam alive when our little ones evolve into their own little persons with perspectives that are constantly being drilled upon them by society that’s no inclined with the sunnah; this is also prevalent in our Muslim communities?

I lost my father in law three weeks. He was a great man, husband, father and the best Nana to my two beautiful daughters. My daughters 11&9 were heart broken. They absolutely loved and adored there grandad. He hardly ever spoiled them with presents or money. He also didn’t let them get toooooo naughty either. But there was only one thing he did, which made him a great man and that was “presence”. He would drive for an hour just to watch my girls play football for 30 min, he would sit next to them and watch cartoons, he would get them glass of water, he would just “be there”. That all he did and my girls loved him for that. So please my beloved brothers and sisters please be there for your kids. Life is simple, it US who make it difficult. Good luck everyone. ❤️ from 🇬🇧

This directly spoke to me. I am 32 years old now. Wallahi everything this man said came true in my life. I thought he was talking about me, as a child growing up, lack of communication, parents telling me what’s wrong with me, I am unappreciative, we gave him everything but u failed us, not being understood by non of your family member, when all I wanted was hearing ears, I lacked that 😢 For those reasons I struggled in life in many different ways, I remember giving my family example of others and close friends of mine, I used to tell my family isn’t it amazing how my friends family is close with each other?? N I always been told I am weird, they don’t understand why I became silent, and when I speak I started shouting because I didn’t feel I was being heard, I still struggle with a lot of things in life. It's interesting to see the similarities of this talk and comparing it to the 5 love languages of children. If we don't speak in the love language of our children then they won't feel connected and loved by the parent. Something to think about!

Jazzak Allah khairan for this dars. It is clear how not to raise your children after this dars. It would be helpfull to receive tips on how you should raise your child. Programs that help give shape to the raising system for example. Questions that might rise: -How to achieve trustful communication; -What subjects to communicate at what age; -What is an effective punishing/reward system; -How to define and protect the line of being too amical vs too distant/strict, etc. I think every parent and every child are different. Along the way you'll figure out what works and what not. But a dars with more indepht guidance on the raising of children would be so valuable for many. We need an awake generation of our ummah. With well raised and alert children that become a well guided Muslim adults bi idhni Lah.
