@Shawn Kemp @Shawn Kemp I would say that: 1. It is more durable than many modern houses, due to its heavier construction and it's, as far as i can see, minimal usage of metal components, which prevents rust and stronger wood decay, if uncept; 2. That traditional houses looks nicer, than many modern houses, if done in a modern wattle and daub stile (orthelike)...it looks somewhat cosier. 3. Also, this type of carpentry has become somewhat rare, but it's coming into fashion again, so it is nice to see people building as our ancestors did...like watching someone painting an oil portrait, like in ye olde times...XD Sorry for any inconsistencies and mistakes, lately i have not gotten any opportunity to practice my english writing skills.

Sir I follow your channel and all your works are amazing, need to understand one thing, how could it be joined the posts bases to osb floor? this frame is standing on the floor only ? what about hurricane or thunder safe ? thanks for answer.

Hi, if we raise square frames 5 by 3 meters with thickness and width of boards 5 by 30 cm, (for building a cube cabin by conecting then these frames), would the lap joints of the frames be stronger with bolts or screws? And would there be necessary for extra corner strengthening triangular bars ? ( the cabin is planed to be made with 10 such frames with a distance of 70 cm in between, conected up and down with 70 cm pieces of the same board)
