Watch the Superhit movie, starring Rajnikanth, Mammooty, Arvind Swamy and Shobana in the lead roles, with Jaishankar, Amrish Puri, Srividya, Bhanupriya and Geetha in supporting roles.
Synopsis:
An orphan named Surya (Rajnikanth) raised in a slum befriends a good crime boss named Devaraj (Mammooty) and works for him. Surya's appraisal to Devaraj leads the people in the locality to pay utmost respect to both. Both of them continue objecting societal incongruencies which other dons, like Kalivardhan(Amrish Puri), incite through moles in governance. Their existence is threatened when a new honest district collector Arjun (Arwind Swamy) arrives. Arjun turns to target Devaraj and Surya as they inflict violence, in the name of fighting organised crime. Meanwhile, Surya comes to know that Arjun is his brother. What will he do now? Who will he support forms the crux of the story ?

ஆமாம்! படம் கடைசி அரை மணி நேரம் முழுக்க முழுக்க கண்ணீர் துளி தான். இறுதியாக ரயிலில் ஏறாமல் ஸ்ரீவித்யா பெரிய மகனான ரஜினியின் தோலில் சாய்ந்து "நாங்கள் சூர்யாவோடு இருந்து கொள்கிறோம்" என்று சொன்னதும் இருவரும் நேருக்கு நேராக பார்க்கும் நிலையில் படம் முடியும் வரை ஒரே அழுகை தான்... 1991 தீபாவளிக்கு திட்டக்குடி கிருஷ்ணா தியேட்டரில் இந்த படம் ரிலீஸ் செய்திருந்தார்கள். முதல் நாள் முதல் காட்சியில் ( fdfs ) ஐந்து ரூபாய் டிக்கெட் சரியான கூட்ட நெரிசலில் எடுத்து, தியேட்டரே ஹவுஸ் ஃபுல்லாக நிரம்பி வழிந்து கொண்டிருந்தது. உட்காருவதற்கு கூட இடமில்லாமல் படம் முழுக்க நின்று கொண்டே பார்த்த ஞாபகம் வந்தது. அதிலும் அந்த 'ராக்கம்மா கையத்தட்டு' பாடல் எல்லாம் தியேட்டரில் ஒரே அளப்பறை தான். எல்லோரும் எழுந்து ஆட ஆரம்பித்து விட்டார்கள். அப்போ அந்த வயதில் அவ்வளவாக அந்த அம்மா - மகன் சென்டிமென்ட் ஈடுபாடு கொஞ்சம் குறைவாகத்தான் இருந்தது. ஆனால் இன்று 21 /08 / 2024 பார்க்கும் பொழுது தான் எவ்வளவு அற்புதமாக ஒவ்வொரு காட்சியையும் செதுக்கி செதுக்கி, உருகி உருகி எடுத்து இருக்கிறார்கள் என்பது தெளிவாக தெரிகிறது. அதுவும் இளையராஜா இசை பற்றி சொல்லவே தேவையில்லை. பின்னணி இசையில் மனிதன் வாழ்ந்திருக்கிறார்.

I appreciates tamil film becos its very artistic n base on reality community life.. I've been searching this movie to share my nostalgic experience watching this and today to my children n grands.. 👍🤗 and atlast I found it by Googling that I remember the words rajnikhan say his name "Teriyathu means I don't know" and voila I found it hehe only that I'm searching with subtitles.. do you know any with subtitles?? What started as a search for the back ground music with a Instagram video that i saved later to Shazam search which showed no results of the tune to find the song by illiaraja and then it struck me to read comments in the tune to some great soul who commented that this was the tune in the movie thslapathi, then as I watched small clips of the movie in youtube, youtube finally recommended the movie itself and I ended up watching the whole movie, truly a great movie. Thank you universe for the joys

நான் இந்த படம் பார்க்கும் பொழுது ஐந்தாம் வகுப்பு படித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தேன் அப்பொழுதே மிகப்பெரிய ரசிகன் தீபாவளியன்று வெளியானது 1991 அதிகாலை உணவும் கூட உண்ணாமல் பொள்ளாச்சி நல்லப்பா திரையரங்கம் முன்பு 7 மணி முதல் காத்திருந்தோம் ஆனால் மதியம் நான்கு மணிக்குத் தான் டிக்கெட் கிடைத்தது படம் பார்த்துவிட்டு வெளியே வரும்பொழுது எதையே சாதித்த ஒரு வெறி ஆனால் இன்று இதுபோல் ஒரு படம் தலைவருக்கு வருமா என்று எதிர்பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் தீவிர ரஜினி ரசிகன் ஆனால் இப்படம் பார்த்த பொள்ளாச்சி நல்லப்பா திரையரங்கம் இப்பொழுது செயல்படாமல் இருப்பது மிகவும் மன வருத்தத்தை தறுகிறது

Me too 1991 my 3rd daughter was born .. thou I'm not Indian I'm malay grandmother from 🇸🇬 🥰 love this i watch long ago i watch in CD .. that time when I'm young mother n now im 60s hehe.. I appreciates tamil film becos its very artistic n base on reality community life.. I've been searching this movie to share my nostalgic experience watching this and today to my children n grands.. 👍🤗 and atlast I found it by Googling that I remember the words rajnikhan say his name "Teriyathu means I don't know" and voila I found it hehe only that I'm searching with subtitles.. do you know any with subtitles?? One of the greatest Classic ever in Tamil Movie Industry. Many directors did not understand the talent of actor Rajinikanth.Maniratnam sir understood his talent and did it very well. And my favourite mammookka.
