Amar Akbar Anthony is one of the most entertaining classics of all time. All actors were brilliant. Although lots of people in comment section are only giving credit only to Amitabh Bachchan, i would say that each of the lead actors including Vinod Khanna and Rishi Kapoor were equally brilliant. Because all characters had unique qualities that made it special. Songs were chartbusters and still popular. But only thing i didn't like is they should have given more solo songs to Vinod Khanna. I don't think it is fair that only Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi kapoor are given solo songs but not Vinod Khanna. Anyways Vinod Khanna was brilliant in the role and this film wouldn't be same without him. Nirupa roy as mother was as usual was great. Pran also was good. Jeevan played the villain perfectly. Female leads were decent. Overall a very entertaining film that never makes me and my family bored. I have watched this film with my family many times. Great episode!!!

हमेशा की तरह लाजवाब episode....., कमाल का research work.....और superb narration.....राकेश जी ! 👌👌👌👌 फ़िल्म में कितने ही illogical scenes थे, मगर दर्शकों पे कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ा ! ये कमाल सिर्फ मनमोहन देसाई जी के ही वश की बात थी ! काश कि आप उन में से भी कुछ का जिक्र करते कि कैसे नीतू सिंह नब्ज़ देख कर परवीन बॉबी को प्रेग्नेंट बता देती है ! फ़िल्म का संगीत तो कमाल था !'पर्दा है पर्दा' को आज भी फिल्मी कव्वालियों में सबसे best माना जाता है ! और 'शिरडी वाले साईं बाबा' भी साईं बाबा पे बने सभी गानों में आज तक भी सबसे best है ! great video......👌👌👍👍

Nice episode on amar akbar Anthony . Thanks for presentation and rare informations. There are very few films who are both successfull and awarded. AAA was one of them. It was typical MD style film on lost and found formula and MD was the only director of bollywood who have always been successful in such subject. It was very entertaining film and blockbuster of 1977. This year MD gave three super hits.

अमर अकबर एंथनी की पर्दा है पर्दा कव्वाली जिसे रफ़ी साहब ने गाकर अमर कर दिया था बहुत ही बेहतरीन कव्वाली है । मनमोहन देसाई के नाम बेहद रोचक रिकार्ड है कि 1977 के वर्ष में उनकी एक दो नहीं चार फिल्में रिलीज हुई और चारों ही सुपर हिट रही ये अपने आप में एक नायाब कीर्तिमान है । फिल्म अमर अकबर एंथनी के कुछ सीन बेहद हास्यापद हैं जैसे एक ही महिला को तीन लोगों द्वारा एक साथ खून दिया जाना खून हमेशा एक के बाद एक करके दिया जाता है इसके अलावा नज़ीर हुसैन की मौत के समय कातिल का लाकेट गिरना बेहद नाटकीय लगता है इसे हम तब मनमोहन देसाई का फार्मूला कहा करते थे पर आम दर्शक मनोरंजन की आड़ में इसे भी खुशी खुशी स्वीकार कर लेते थे ,किसी और की तो क्या कहूं मैं स्वंय देसाई की फिल्मों का बड़ा प्रशंसक होता था क्यूंकि फिल्म देखने के बाद चाहे कुछ ही समय के लिए हमारी दुख तकलीफें हमसे दूर हो जाती थी । मेरी निगाह में अमर अकबर एंथनी मनमोहन देसाई के फार्मूलों से भरपूर होने के बावजूद भी लोगों का मनोरंजन करने में बेहद कामयाब थी 🙏🙏🙏धन्यवाद कुलविंदर सिंह रखराज 🙏🙏🙏

You can't ignore Vinod Khanna. He was equally brilliant as a no nonsense cop. In the fight scene he even overshadowed amitabh bachchan.

@@rakeshsadeoif the role required seriousness and sincerety then i wouldn't call it flat. His role still stand out. Especially in that policw station interrogation scene where he slaps and beats up 3 suspected goons one by one, he was looking very dominating. Amar Akbar Anthony without Vinod Khanna would be tea without sugar.

Characters written more colorfull doesn’t mean the actors were more colorful. Vinod Khanna's looks, personality and screen presence>>>>>> Amitabh Bachchan +Rishi Kapoor combined. Period. Amar Akbar Anthony without Vinod Khanna is same as tea without sugar just like Sholay without Sanjeev Kumar.

@@rakeshsadeoone more thing, it is not always actors fault that their acting doesn't turn out great. Directors are also to be played strong role. The other 3 got much better directors to work with as compared to VK. So credit also should go to the directors and not just the actors. Also Vinod Khanna's son is way more talented actor as compared to Amitabh Bachchan's son. Anyways i also respect your opinion without agreeing that Dharmendra, Rishi Kapoor, etc being better actors than Vinod Khanna. 👍👍👍

Even Amitabh Bachchan, dharmendra, Jeetendra all were limited actors. No one was perfect. None of these actors can be compared to dilip kumar or raj kapoor.

@@rakeshsadeook but i still stick to my point!! Please be fair to vinod khanna. You praised Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor but didn't praise Vinod Khanna which i felt bad. So i have the right to argue. I appreciate your hard work but you should not be so negative towards Vinod Khanna and alwaye be positive towards other actors. I never see you talk negatively as much towards Dharmendra, Jeetendra, Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor, and any other actor as much as you do towards vinod khanna which is not fair.

Episode is very well narrated rakesh ji. Amar Akbar Anthony is one of my all time favorite films. but one humble question. why are you ignoring great performance by Vinod Khanna? And why was he not supposed to have a heroine in intiial script? Would it make any sense to not have 3rd female lead when there are 3 heroes? Even when they finalized shabana azmi why did Vinod Khanna and Shabana Azmi have enough screen time and any special solo song unlike other 2? Why such unfair treatment only towards Vinod Khanna? Is it because he was an outsider unlike other 2 who had either industrial background (RK) or political connections (AB)????? Please reply.

@@rakeshsadeobut is was smart decision by VK to make sure he gets heroine because it wouldn't make any sense to not have 3 female leads against 3 heroes. In any multistarrer film about 3 brothers can you expwct the eldest brother to remain single without any heroine. So i didn't understand why Manji didn't want any heroine for Amar's role? And VK was part of only 2 songs which had both AB and RK in it. I was talking about any solo song. Manji should have treated all his 3 characters equally. That's my point. He could have made AAA even bigger classic then it is had he made all 3 characters equally colorful. That's what i have been trying to say.

Far better than the over acting character of anthony. Vinod Khanna nailed the role and he deservs all the praise for that role. In fact dharmendra couldn't have performed that role as good as Vinod Khanna. So it was good that the role went to Vinod Khanna.

He had zanjeer, sholay, deewar, kabhie kabhie, hera pheri all these big hits behind him.
