I've always loved The New Addition.....especially Ralph Tresvant. Damn, that brotha was always so fine...so smooth....his vibe & his swagg....all the way from the start, back in the mid to late 80s, and beyond. When me & my siblings & friends would see them performing back in the day, on Soul Train and awards shows, we used to argue over who's "man" was who's. And I always claimed Ralph Tresvant. As I entered into my teen & high school yrs, his poster owned a spot above the bed I slept in, in a room that I shared with my sisters. I think my older sister had a poster of Bobby Brown on her side of the wall. That was her "man". It was all in dreaming fun. Our mom couldn't afford concert tickets for us, so we had to watch them on t.v., and dream about them. And out of respect, i won't mention the kinds of thoughts & dreams i had about Ralph Tresvant back then. But I'm sure you can imagine. Love New Addition.....always, for life!

@@dantedkingofficial Yes he is. He has a great spirit. I saw them in concert so many times when Bobby would be drunk or high and would mess up, forget words or just stumble... I watched Ralph slide up and grab his Bobby at a concert in Hawaii and just join in singing with him as though it was planned. I thought then that he was such a special person. He did embarrass Bobby or walk off the stage, he just humbly and lovingly lent him a hand. I loved that.

Buy Ralph's music so that he will stop preying on women who are weak for his other talent as Super Mack, conning them out of their money. He is ruining lives. Or at least he ruined mine by my lonely self giving him $10,000 til I found out about all his lies.

Absolutely...I'm still trying to figure out how other groups as NKOTB out did these guys in terms of merchandising and sponsorships.

They wouldn't like you calling them a "Boy Band". They are an R&B group. Boy Band implies that it was contrived, and not organically created.

One group is black and one is white and unfortunately the white group is going to sell more and make more when it comes to merchandise and sponsorship! I love both groups! I don't discriminate when it comes to music, however, the majority does.

@@annuali4097 New Edition got taken advantage of in the first two contracts. I don't think they had attorneys review their contracts back then.

I think Johnny added a mature type of evolution to the group also. Not to take anything away from their earlier hits...but they were growing in to adult young men to carry on singing kiddy "Candy Girl" and " "Mr.Telephone Man" type records would sound silly. This was a good interview new found respect for Ralph...he seems like a cool, laid back, fair brotha.

The composition had a mixture of house music Babyface never touched house music he was always smooth though so I will agree that Sensitivity is definitely smooth but you can actually groove to it, which is what Ralph did in the video with his house dance moves. Classic!
