I don't know why Ram Designed the stock exhaust such that It cannot be removed on the ground without cutting it out...?
I had to cut mine out. Job Was not Difficult, Cutting was the worst part.
Looks like its even kind of a pain to get out with a lift without cutting.

I installed a B2 Fabrication muffler delete kit on my then new 2020 Ram 1500 Rebel 4x4. The entire kit cost me $185.00 back then. The truck still uses both stock tailpipe resonators. It sounds as good as all these high dollar kits. I made one cut with a Sawzall and the entire installation took less than an hour. My truck had only 300 miles on it when installed the delete pipe. I really think that I got a good system for far less money.

I second this! Carven makes some great stuff. My #1 choice is their R series muffler or their Competitor series direct fit system (which uses the R series muffler). I do like the Borla S type the best of the ones on this video. My top 5 would probably be: #1 Carven R series/Competitor #2 Flowmaster Super HP2 #3 Borla S type #4 Thrush #17661 #5 Flowmaster Super 50series

best bang for the buck and a great sound is just a simple muffler delete cut out the stock muffler and put in a straight pipe and leave everything else stock including the resonator and tips you'll save a lot of money and have great sound.

After looking at and listening to all the major players out there I decided to give the Rough Country exhaust a try. It's 400 series stainless, and half the cost of Borla and Corsa. It's not quite as loud as the ATAK but it sounds vert good, very deep and throaty. I have a cold start vid on my chan.

I did the same thing, listen to them all and go meh, why do I want to sound like everyone else who can go out and buy a mainstream mass produced kit from one of the many well know, well documented and reviewed exhaust kits that require a brinks truck to pay for it and may or may not be made in the USA using USA spec'd stainless and not some form of Chineseium "stainless". So I looked towards Blackwidow, great sound, but again, its becoming that "go to" muffler for those wanting to avoid the trademarked sounds, though has too much in terms of Metallic sounding rasp and not the very deep and throaty sound my truck and most people want from their V8s without scarifying drone/livability. I kept going back to Spintech, part of the "Mr. Gas" side of the dirt track and circle track racing. Sounds like nothing out there, and I get questioned, "what is that?" Sound is like everything, subjective to who/what you drive and your tastes.

It’s because the others are made of high quality stainless steel 409 stainless is gonna be rusted out in two years. 309 stainless will last for many years to come. You get what you pay for and rough country is basically the Walmart brand of the truck world.

@@rickylee2477 400 series develops surface rust as it has 8% less chromium than 300 series. It will not "rust out in two years". But yes, there is a cost difference between using 300 and 400 series and it is reflected in the lower price of the exhaust system. I've had exhaust systems from just about every main manufacturer out there over the years as I've had a long list of vehicles. I've spent LOTS more on exhaust systems and received worse quality products. For the money the Rough Country is a very nice system. Does it compare to the 2 grand hand fabbed Zoomer setup on my Challenger? No.... :) I bought a Borla setup for one of my C4 Corvettes back in the day and I was so disappointed in them. The packaging was terrible and somehow they managed to send me one polished muffler tip and one bead blasted muffler/tip on an exhaust that was over 2 grand. I was very pleased with Corsa's packaging and fit and finish just didn't like the sound though.

From my understanding, as I’m currently researching my options, the factory Mopar “cat back exhaust” is actually Borla Touring system. From the few clips I’ve heard it does sound good but the price ($1400’ish) I personally think I’m gonna go with the Borla (s type or attack). I’m thinking attack and if it’s too loud just add the resonator later.

I got mbrp cat back exhaust for 50 and 100 to put on and it's the best sounding. Nice on a 700 mile trip or more at 70 mph but sounds good when you get on it too

Do you have air suspension on that Limited? Besides the exhaust, looking to add intake, coil packs, and possibly long tube headers. Maybe a tuner. Just to squeeze a few horsepower out since the limited is around 500 pounds heavier than the Laramie. Saying that, I also don’t want it very loud, especially cruising. What do you suggest that keeps it pretty quiet unless you’re on it?

I went with the Borla S-type on my Ram. I think it is the perfect volume. No drone and its not too loud on road trips. If you want something a little louder, I recommend anything in this video. I am considering switching to the AWE.
