On the diesels they are also bad they put the oil filter in the wheel well and it spills all over the place when you take them out, and they have 2 fuel filters one above the drive shaft so it spills all over the drive shaft, and one in the engine bay that you can only fit a short ratchet on and it makes it really hard to loosen, overall bad design

I know all about this. I can do it no problem. Use a big zip lock plastic bag wrapped around the filter while unscrewing the oil filter.

I’ve plugged it in, and the charger has power, but both the “on” led and the “charged/maintaining” led never turn on? The “charged/maintaining” led flickers on when I first connect it to power, but it turns off immediately. Am I doing something wrong??

One of the common problems in the more modern cars is failures of sensors, instrumentation due to poor quality manufacturing control. The other common problem is wiring failure due to moisture causing corrosion and mechanical rubbing against wiring harnesses. Given those two issue my problem with the electronic dipstick would be reliability.. The mechanical dipstick doesn't fail in this way although I'll agree that people don't check their oil as they should. I'm not one of those people though. I check my fluid levels and carefully. Leaning toward having more oil in the sump than less is a good thing. Not wildly over filling of course, but slightly more than the full line will only provide more oil which helps dissipate heat better and make for longer oil life.

Oil filter placement is stupid, can't realy do nothing about that, but 10.y. ago worked in one workshope where we serviced many trucks for one company and we just made a drain from sheet metal to put under the drain plug so it doesn't go on cross member or other chassis/suspension parts.
