It is a fact that John Rambo could use every weapon with exceptional skill but he was mind-blowing good, deadly and accurate with a bow and arrow and I believe it was his favourite weapon of choice.

I don't know if Sylvester Stallone is left handed or right handed but it is a fact in all his Rambo moves he shoots the bow and arrow with his left hand and always with skill and deadly accuracy.

As a Stallone film-nerd, I can answer. He is not "ambidextrous" but is "mix-handed". Stallone hacks with a blade left-handed, signs autographs right-handed, shoots arrows left-handed, holds an assault weapon right-handed, shoots a shotgun off the hip left-handed, holds a handgun right-handed, boxes left-handed, holsters a handgun right-side, sheaths a blade on left-side.

Compound Bow is John Rambo's main non-firearm weapon of choice, save for his survival knife. Rambo uses a vintage compound bow in every film after First Blood when he can't use a gun or is too far away from his target to use a knife, he equips his bow with various accessories, including flashlights, glow sticks, and explosive arrow tips to make a easier to kill enemies.
