Much appreciated! I'll file this in my Marion Blair Ram video folder. You have saved me money, time and no doubt many busted knuckles with your tips and tricks for our Ram trucks.

Thanks for sharing that camera angle. I might be able to get mine greased this spring...(that stroke comment was hillarious)

I live and work in the Mtns in Montana, I have a 2011 Ram 3500 Ctd. I grease mine once in the spring and once in the fall. Probably overkill. I first learned about it from your first video, thanks for keeping us informed.

Hey Marion. I never had any luck with that tip. I use the needle you said not to use. I ground the tip flat though. Works much better for me, but yes, need to be very careful not to break it off in the "fitting." That setup is in the top 10 dumb designs on these RAMs. Thanks for the video, maybe I'll try that tip you use again??? Take care Sir.

75k mi and I've only done it twice because that thing is a bitch to get to, and I never use 4wd. Thanks a lot Marion, now I have to go do it again. (seriously, thanks!)

Good job showing the process. It is always a challenge to get it lined up correctly but once it is the process is a piece of cake.

Sticker under my hood says to grease at every oil change which I think is excessive, especially if your not using 4x4. I usually grease mine every 6 months or so depending on usage. I have been using the needle style with no issues so far but will definitely be looking for the one you have. Thanks for the informative video as always, look forward for your next one.

Thanks for the info, Mr. Blair. Took me a few attempts to get this to work and your video makes it look easy :). Hopefully you have the transmission fluid change coming soon on your truck that you will share with us. Take care.

Thanks yes I’m gonna do the transmission soon. Just don’t know exactly when.

Thanks for the info mate my drive shaft will get some grease now ,but on my 2010 2500 Ram the front drive shaft will not turn like yours unless I jack the front wheals off the ground I need to get a free spin thanks again

Unless you’ve got manual front hubs, the front driveline is always turning. Granted, there is no engine load going through it when not in 4wd.

I've never been able to get any grease to come out the back so I don't think I'm getting any in. Maybe it's plugged but I do worry because I use 4wd a lot.

It’s a pain that’s for sure. I have had the dealer do it and I have tried to do it a few times and I still think it’s not actually taking the grease. Lucky I rarely need to use 4 wheel drive so I am not too worried about it.

J.H. your fitting may be clogged. It happened to mine once. Used a fine paperclip to clear the clog. Good luck.

I think their recommendation for greasing this joint is a little excessive. It's based off of someone using the truck to it's full potential all the time like in an oil field, or four wheeling all the time. I greased mine for the first time at close to 20,000 miles and once I greased it, I observed fresh white grease coming out the other side. I also think the same holds true for their recommendation on changing out diff fluid. If you're not working the truck hard, you could go a good while without doing it.

I have a 2010 Ram 2500 6.7 Laramie and could not find this for the life of me. I took it in to my mechanic and he said he couldn't find it either, with two eyes on it and said some models had it sealed. Anyone else have this on theirs?

If you don’t use the 4 X 4 would every 50,000 miles be ok

My 2008 Dodge 2500 has it as well. I do it as needed.
