Phyllo dough crinkle cake/ milk pie.
This Crinkle Cake is a crunchy-creamy Egyptian dessert also none as Om Ali. In which phyllo dough is crinkled together, doused with melted butter and custard, twice baked, then topped with a nutty pistachios, and rose petals.

Note: In this recipe I’m using condensed milk, you can also skip the condensed milk and top it with simple sugar syrup if you like.
Ingredients:
Phyllo pastry sheets
100g melted butter
150g sweetened condensed milk
1 egg
300ml milk
Pistachios for garnishing
Instructions:
1- preheat the oven at 200c. Melt the butter and apply on all the phyllo pastry sheets. Crinkle individually or two sheets together, folding them like an accordion placing them on the baking dish. Repeat and stack them side by side. Pour the remaining butter over and bake for 15 minutes.
2- In a bowl add condensed milk, egg and milk and whisk to combine. Evenly pour the custard over the baked phyllo. Bake for 20-30 minutes, until golden brown.
3- Sprinkle chopped pistachios and dried rose petals all over the top. Cool for 15 minutes, then cut in slices and enjoy.😉
