In all fairness to the Hibben, the heat treat may not be bad. However, stainless steel is often much harder and less forgiving than any carbon steel. Any knife with such a sharp clip point is prone to tip deformation or breakage and when you had a high chromium, possibly inexpensive, stainless to the mix it is a recipe for a broken tip. I would expect that even Dbads knife should be expected to have that sharp tip eventually fail with enough effort.

Hibbens are beautiful knives, but they can't hold up to abuse. The DBAD knives from Nepal are much more sturdy.

That is not a real hibben 3...not the one from Nepal... The other one.. It's a design from hibben made in somewhere in China... The real hibben is a massive bowie knife

the handles are almost identical, so it's hard to say brother! But you Can feel that the hibben is hollow inside the handle, at the DBAD feels more sturdy, but they both feel really good man!!

Great example of how it ain't just what kind of metal, but rather how it's heat treated, that can make or in this case "break" a blade. Thanks for the abuse! Be safe.

Your intro is phenomenal brother, I own a mission 3 in Gill Hibben style but there is no doubt that dbads knife is better designed and much stronger than the Hibben Design!! Great Video Brother !! Stay save

According the tests you did, both are good knives. The broke tip test is not usefull cause nobody is going to force any knife the way you did in a survival situation. But hei.....good job, I like the enthusiasm you put in your videos.

I really like the Hibben 3 it's a gorgeous looking design But the Mission III design by Dbad is out of this world and obviously the hands down best of the best by far of the two ,it a great looking and better made blade all day and night and we know that's right.💀⚔️😎😎⚔️💀

Very great Video i own the Anglo Arms Cheap version of the Rambo 3 too it was my first knife funny too see it broke up, u deserve more subscribers man

@@woodsmankniveschannel4797 thank you too bro, well the cheap hibben Version is only great as a weapon for selfe defense, i actually did onced, someone tryed too attacking me with a chair so i stinged him in the forearm, he was so heavily injured he almost lost his arm anyway im a big Fan of Donnie B All day aswell and i wanted too buy the Mission III from Nepal too but because im from Germany i have problems ordering it cause i never used PayPal
