I`ve been to many shows where people are quite happy to chat at the bar, or between songs, which really annoys me. I was at this gig and you could of heard a pin drop between songs, so good. At the the time Portishead were something new and fresh, and absolutely mesmerising. Amazing show. Saw the Smashing Pumpkins there in 96, but thats another story.

Just imagine. at night at 3am. A little bit drunk, looking for a moment of rest. And then in a club you end up with this band. I wouldn't leave anymore.

The most underrated British band ever. So fucking good, tight band and maybe the best British female vocalist of all time, definitely the best front woman. Big up Portishead!!!

@@ianread9019 I was repremanded big time by my other half... Beth was born in Exeter and came to Bristol to join the music scene... One of the other members of the band went to Gordano school in Portishead... Not sure which though... 🤔.. the bass player Jim Barr is in another Bristol band with Clive Deaner the drummer that joined them ( a lovely bald man, like me) I've been scrolling down and viewing other vids..... That's my afternoon gone 😍😂..

As a Chinese girl who got to see their live at 18 years old, I almost fainted at the first line by the unimaginable energy field it brought to me. The safe guard lit up his torch to check if I was alright. I was just too overwhelmed by everything I was experiencing in their music.
