Goslar is a historic town in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is the administrative centre of the district of Goslar and located on the northwestern slopes of the Harz mountain range. The Old Town of Goslar and the Mines of Rammelsberg are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Traced my family history back to here, at least 3 generations worked in these mines in the 1770's to mid 1800's. If the records existed I reckon there would be a lot more than just 3 generations.

Nice, thx. So “imperial city“ is a bit misleading. It has a königspfalz where the travelling emperor stayed for a while. But there were hunderts of them.
