I remember the airplane crash at US military base Ramstein in 1988. It was a nightmare! I live 60 km or 37 miles away from this place. The band Rammstein made a song and video about this Sunday afternoon on August 28th, 1988 named "Rammstein" as well. Difference: The town is written with one m and the band chose to use two mm.

The reason is that IM is a mix of various types of Electronic Music with Metal and many of the bands use electronic loops as the base of their songs, which leads to the said repetition. Fenom, since you mentioned the accident in Ramstein's airbase, Rammstein have a song titled "Rammstein" which talks about it. In their early performances of the song, Til (the singer) used to come out on stage with a special coat and he sang the whole song with his arms opened, while the coat around his neck and his arms was on fire. This song was included in the OST of the movie "Lost Highway".

I was lucky enough to have a smoking hot girlfriend when I went to a Rammstein concert in Tacoma, WA. We got invited to the after party and partied with the band after being selected by some German handler out of the crowd. It was awesome.

What's cool about the keyboard player is that the treadmill sets his timing, so he has that feature guiding him while playing those songs. It's actually pretty close to genius, if not genius. And the lead singer-he looks like he just came out of a coalmine-great visual there. And their pyrotechnics are pretty solid as well. And the singer's voice is _so_ ominous sounding, but most of their lyrics, although they do project doom, are only that if we head down the wrong road; otherwise, they're life-affirming. His voice and their lyrics serve as a paradox, in my opinion. Good stuff. And they have many more great songs in their catalog that you guys should check out. Their videos are awesome, too. Sort of along the same lines as that Black Sabbath "War Pigs" video.

"Exzellent" is the German for excellent (pronounced: Ex-tse-lent). And yes, as others have pointed out, provided you don't see the spelling the German "du hast" (you have) and "du hasst" (you hate) sound the same, so there is that play on words of "you have me" vs. "you hate me". As a German, I really hope you explore more of their songs as they have quite the interesting catalog, some of which will require really diving into the lyrics (and in the case of "Deutschland" a history lesson). I mention the lyrics as Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann is also a published poet, so some of his lyrics can go deep. I actually teach German and like to use some of their songs in my lessons, as Till enunciates his words very clearly making it easier for learners to understand and opens possibilities for interesting discussions about the word choices and potential lyrical meanings. Also, French people knowing some German isn't all that weird, considering they share a border with Germany. French is also commonly taught at German schools.

He starts with one word and adds another one with every turn. It happens that in German the three words solution "du hast mich" (you have (asked) me) is a homonym to "du hasst mich" (Lou hate me). That's the funny part.

Rammstein are great, if you don't mind that they are archetypally artsy, angsty Germans. Expect them to try and push all of your buttons in the name of art. Underneath all of the shock value, they are really great musicians who know how to make metal groovy.

There's much said about the translation of the lyrics "Have me" Hate me", and some say Like wedding vows as well. I see it as like it being as a Toxic Love/Hate Relationship. You have me, and You hate me. Both said from either one, or the other, or in a Versus situation. If you see their Official Music video it leads better to what I'm saying. Rammstein likes being ambiguous with meanings. The play with Have or Hate Me I think was intentional.
