Sadly, he will most probably not get that recognition. It is simply because people are ignorant at a mass scale, so they fail to realize what this man has actually achieved and how difficult (next to impossible) is to beat Thai-s at their own game on their soil. The things get worse with most people not being fighters (but rather keyboard warriors in the social media) at all and thus unable to recognise what a real full contact fight is all about (especially muay-thai in Thailand).

Legends never die. Rest in Peace Ramon Dekkers. Ramon was born in 69, me in 79. He died around the age I am now. Sad he is no longer with us, but like I said legends never die. 💎❤️

His GOD like determination, and pure human hunger for winning (also refered to as lust in religion) is what kept this man champion, NOTHING but dedication, hard work and lust for knocking his opponent stone cold- This is the beauty of Humanity.

The Thai could not pronounce the name Dekkers very well, in stead they said Dekker... They decided to utilise the name Ramon Dekker.

Humility perhaps…..something tells me, seeing his interviews and following him from back in the day, was /is he might feel a bit uncomfortable being infront of the camera with such a fuss being made…he is not like some fighters/ some men in general….he’s not cocky. So perhaps he is sad because he doesn’t feel in his element infront of the lens. 🤷‍♂️
