Wow, I have to say I had forgotten just how hard Ramp Agents' work was. I used to be a Ramp agent. I started as a Loader driver, and worked my way up to Aircraft Tug Driver then Aircraft Engineering and on to the flight deck as Technical Flight Crew. initially as a Light Loadmaster & Flight Mechanic, & Second Officer, and eventually as Pilot/First Officer. I will be 60 years old in June 2023. Though I have flown thousands of hours, throughout my flying career, sadly I don't fly anymore in part due to poor health. What I would say in hindsight The early part of my aviation career was working on the ground as a Ramp Agent. watching the video I remember it was absolutely back-breaking work. However, it was exciting and fun at the time in my early to mid-20s especially getting to work around many different Aircraft types and with a burning desire to get to fly them. Eventually Flying for two airlines in the UK and The Royal Air Force as a commissioned Officer, allowed me to see much of the world and at the age of 26 years old, I was third in command of a commercial airliner with a lot of responsibility and a set of wings and two gold braids on my uniform shirt epaulettes and uniform jacket. One word of warning to all you Ramp Agents though. If you're working on the ramp in your 20's you might find that all that heavy lifting and hard manual labour you are doing today, might come back and hit you in later life. Something No airline or airline handling company is ever going to tell you. Today I walk with a walking stick my knees are screwed from spending years kneeling on them in tight aircraft holds loading and unloading aircraft. My back is screwed as a result of the continuing twisting of my back with heavy bags as are my shoulders and arms from lifting heavy pax bags and moving cargo in the aircraft holds and cabin on main deck freighter aircraft. I enjoyed my flying career very much and I wouldn't have changed it for the world it's made me who I am today. However, I started my aviation career working on the Ramp with no preconceived ideas of becoming a Pilot. Back then at the time which was in the mid-1980's I didn't believe that I was capable to become a Pilot, just a growing confidence that allowed me to believe in myself I had to work my way up through the ranks from a Ramp agent to flight-deck crew, which meant hard work and lots of studying and college and flight school. That hard labour working on the ramp has left me in later life living in tremendous constant pain as I'm riddled with osteoarthritis. pretty much as a direct result of my years working on the Ramp. A thankless hard job but having seen it from the ramp and looking at it from the flight deck it's appreciated just don't screw your body as a result as it might come back and bite you on the ass in later life. Keep up the good work guys.👍

Awesome Video! I’m in the flight MGR industry as well . One note maybe edit or blurry out the passengers bag tags . Technology today is really quick with screen shots someone could get a hold of someone personally information . Customers tag their bags with all sorts of personal info . You don’t want that headache from the company or customer . Folks are creeps and very weird these day you just never know what people will do. Keep up the good work education is needed .Most People don’t realize value nor give Ramp agents/ ground operations . Grace or credit . Ramp does everything to get you on your way as safe as possible. Give Ramp agents more Grace ❤❤❤

show that you are willing to learn and respect that the ramp on an active busy airport is a very dangerous place and it's important to follow rules and think before you do something that could result in someone or you dying. Aviation employers such as airlines or ground handling agents, want to feel that their employees aren't going to do something stupid or dangerous that could end up causing a serious accident or damage to an aircraft or cause any loss of life. If you can show that you are sensible and trustworthy and willing to follow procedures and rules you should be fine. Hope it works out for you.

So when that aircraft taxies away after pushback its wing will depart the manoeuvring area it is in and re-enter the ramp area it had been pushed from so it can depart....? Why not just push the aircraft in a 90° direction that will allow the aircraft, once in the manoeuvring area, to remain in this controlled area as opposed to re-entering an uncontrolled zone for taxi.
