Ran Takahashi Dominated Against France in Volleyball Nations League 2023 !!! Ran Takahashi (髙橋藍 or たかはしらん, Takahashi Ran, born 2 September 2001) is a Japanese male volleyball player and an Olympian. He plays as an Outside Hitter for Nippon Sport Science University's club,[1] Japan men's national volleyball team and Vero Volley Monza.

@@bigbangtrash6353 calm down. they make this title coz ran is the top scorer of this match (from the winning team). they did this too before when ran was the mvp but yuki was the top scorer. everyone knows miyaura is the mvp of this match.

Ran & Yuki complements each other really well. It's always satisfying to watch their switch on defense-to-offense mode every time. Even with fatigue (4 games in a row lmao) they still top scored this match. On a side note, fortunately Miyaura also came to party on set 4 to help them win. Totally deserved that Match MVP.

Ran is probably the only one among RJN who didn't leave the court for all 4 games (not to mention 3 games for 3 straight days). He is serving, attacking & defending with all that he has. You can see that he’s definitely tired but his determination to become the pillar of RJN and to ease Yuki’s burden was beyond everything. And him became their top scorer was just amazing!!!

Yeah ran was doing well and improve so much in superlega., To the starters 3 players didn't got replace including ran, still ISHIKAWA is the One dominating in all stats category except reception he is behind Yamamoto...in this match miyaura is only a sub but make 13 pts just 4 pts behind RAN... everyone is improving and stepping up if needed.

If you watch the full match, you will know that the key to this game is Ran Takahashi and Yuki, they run and dig the ball all over the field and still have a good attacking game in all 3 sets before Miyaura going down.This match ran a top score of 17 points and Yuki 16 points.

True. Their serves helped take away the middle blocker quick sets of France. France's middle blocker attacks were virtually nonexistent whenever it is ran or yuki serving - they just cannot return the ball near to the net enough for quick sets! This was one major difference between japan and france that match.

Kento Miyaura is the man of this match, his 100% attack is just beyond incredible and he also made 2 aces in a row, I believe team France did not expect Miyaura came into the court to create a lot of change... Brave decision made by Japan's coach... Miyaura came into the court to replace Yuji Nishida who seemed so much underperformed in this match..... Congrats to team Japan for their undefeated record in Nagoya 🎉🎉

Well these matches have a very tight schedule so is normal to underperform due to fatigue, the best teams overcome this with great substitutes

@@LYNBERTAGANONactually they are both the key. They did really well in both offense and defense. If ran is at the back he did well in receiving and digging and vice versa with ishikawa.

@@johnandal4417 everyone is doing well but a lot of RAN fans thinking that Japan is nothing without him....see the stats ISHIKAWA is the one dominating the stats leaderboard and knowing the fact that he is the most we'll marked player of Japan,but still so consistent being a top scorer...seems like a lot of RAN fans just watching highlights and not a live game.

Japan play like a dream. Opponents not only have the trio - Yuki. Yuji and Ran to deal with, now they have to lookout for Miyaura who packs so much power. And not forgetting middle blockers Kenta and Onodera. Kudos to coach Philip Blain. This is the strongest Japanese line-up I've ever seen in a long time. Gambatte Nippon! Não têem grande altura por isso ficaram especialistas em fintar bloqueio. Um jogo muito bonito. Se o jogo fosse hoje entre eles e os USA que impressionantemente são os mais disciplinados taticamente acho que daria USA. A Sérvia que começou mal acaba de ganhar da forte Polônia que jogou praticamente com o time B.

@@Koo-fu8kc I hope so. Short stature selections speed up the game a lot and with that the opponent's block never arrives in one piece, that is, it's not making much difference. And they already have an advantage because they are very strong in the pass and defense.🤷🏾‍♂️

Love japan but Faure was just a monster this match. Imagine being an opposite and being as tall as some middle blockers. He was new to the french team but he played like a veteran. Hope japan can find ways to match his power in upcoming matches.

BTW, do you guys think that Nishida has changes his spiking point from the top of the ball to the middle or middle top of the ball in VNL 2023. I think he did some changes in his hitting point, maybe it's for fighting against the blockers? But at the same time, I think it kinda tend to make his spikes and servers out of bounds or went into the blocks. What do you guys think ?

Waiting on the haters to say they played against France's backup team blah blah. Doesn't matter - Japan still won against giants who were clearly taller and more powerful than them. Ran was phenomenal this match but the mvp deservedly goes to Miyaura who was unstoppable at the deciding set.

it's literaly the case im french and i found that the backup team is good but not enough to play in this competition as they missed like 25 of their services in this game as the real team would not play that poorly, its not hating i may be french but one of my favorite team may be japan. And yes ran played beautifully

@@gissneric true and hopefully japan will still continue to win overseas. But to be honest they probably have the least advantage when playing home court. Their home crowd is always polite and never boos, distracts or intimidates the opposing team. They cheer for both sides and always makes the visiting players comfortable.

There's a clip at the latter part that should have been there. I know it's the wrong clip because Nishida wasn't supposed to make a highlight in the fourth set. His offense hasn't been effective lately. I hope he finds his groove soon. Good thing though is that others are stepping up.
