100% ....when a animal is hit, and haul the mail, that heart is @ optimal heart rate,pumping the snot outta the blood. My largest contention with blood tracking is, a low exit allows more blood to escape out and not fill into the body cavity. That always helps making a better trail. A boar with it's shield,acts as a sealer and quickly moves to clot the injury in the shield,which is a defense mechanism for their fighting. So a boar hog is basically a hole sealing animal on top of you trying to make a bigger blood trail. you have certain odds against a good blood trail with a boar hog, and if your exit hole is on the high side making more blood fill the body cavity,then get pushed out. This instance here, it might be that the initial hauling ass pushed the blood out making it visible, then tailed off as the heart rate might have slowed, the animal slowed,and maybe more blood filled into the body cavity instead of out the exit hole. To Wray's point,the PLACEMENT into the proper kill zone,effeciently KILLS so the animals doesn't go far. It's got 3 good legs and 1 is a busted shoulder. 3 legs gets you less distance then 4 legs. Shot placement was money and there is the #1 blood or no blood recovery made easy.

That's the best part of the deal, doctor. Hitting the lungs is good, but sticking an arrow straight through the aorta or pulmonary trunks? The drop in blood pressure then becomes a few heartbeats.

You’re correct!! I’m a “shot placement” guy and I missed by approximately .07 inches. If it was just a bit to the right I might have hit the left anterior descending artery or the circumflex artery of the Heart (that’s what I aim at anyway - I mean who doesn’t??). And you know THOSE ALWAYS make a blood trail!!! 😂 😆 😹 Sarcasm doesn’t come across on you tube comments and I am being VERY sarcastic!

I shoot the Valkyrie short Jag 210 grain. Still sharp after going through a mature deer & 15" of penetration into the ground on 🥶 MN ground. The Viking Centerpin missile system works better than I thought it would with the threads on the opposite end. ➕️ u never have to be concerned about your inserts/outserts moving when u glue them in. The AAE Max Impact glue works awesome. Very hard impact & vibration proof. I've had deer go 10 yards & fall over sideways hitting them far forward in the Vital V!

@@josephtreadlightly5686 They are very good arrowheads! The down side is they can not be sharpened properly like conventional straight blade heads. But the recommended method is as sharp as any out there.

@@JimWooddell yeah Jim. I think they get a better edge with those 2 wheels than a straight edge Ranch Fairy head on a flat diamond surface. I hope the people that get those heads strop them afterwards which is more work than many will do. He designed it that way for the people that want sharp heads w/o completing the process. The Valkyrie is the best of both 🌎. Tough enough to break bone but they have that sleek design to go around bone & not bury but blow through the animal into the ground. I've never seen so much blood in a 30 foot by 20 foot area b4. I aim for an exit wound & I would rather hit something hard to begin with than the other way around. Very do-able to have something 100 total grains less than a Ranch Fairy Special that behaves the same way. I use to like the Bishop Holy Trinity but as a system the Valkyrie performs better.

This will be a 2023 project. This year we are running the 2.0 Evolution with bleeders!

@@RanchFairy thanks for the info! I already watched that one too. Yeah, kill zone is the biggest issue on big boars. Thier shield covers alot of it. How about shooting your broadheads out of a crossbow?
