A brilliant speech, powerful and honest. Thank you. I'm not a Muslim woman, I am a disabled single mother and I have experienced very similar (and just as insipid) institutional and social discrimination and elite privilege in other areas of my life and immediately identified.

I would suggest you all to read "Does my head look big in this " written by her ... the protagonist in this novel is Amal Mohamed Nasrullah Abdel-Hakim who decides to wear hijab in year of 11 in her school

"White men and some white women..." That is such a ridiculous phrase. On one hand she is happy to generalise that all white men seek to misguidedly liberate muslim women from the veil (when clearly it is not even most white men), but takes care to not make that generalisation about all women. What an incredible level of bias.
