A cool idea for an episode would be everybody plays Rocco, Cabaretti Caterer with a different secret commander. There are a bunch of really cool non-Legendary creatures to build around like that or legends that benefit from additional colors. Yall could make a game out of figuring out the secret commanders before they come out

Sundial doesn't work with Skyfire Kirin unfortunately. Sundial will work to remove delayed triggers like "Sacrifice at the beginning of the next end step" if the sundial is activated when the delayed triggers go on the stack, but effects that last "until end of turn" do not go onto the stack at the end of turn and are removed after the turn is over no matter how you end it(sundial or normally passing the turn). It didn't affect this game but is good to know. Source: I play an Obeka deck that basically does the same thing as Sundial of the Infinite.

They mislead Jeremy with how Dina works (and then played it wrong). The pests gain life when they die as a trigger, so Dina will already be off the board before she would see Jeremy gain the 5 life.

I just want to point out that the sundial would not work with the Skyfire kirin. It is the same situation with Obeka, it just makes the end of the turn come quicker. You would need something that says something like "at the beginning of the end step" to be able to keep it cause then there would be a trigger on the stack. Threaten effects are more like state-based actions, it just goes back and doesn't trigger so therefore can never be exiled off the stack.

No sundial does exactly how they wanted to use it. It moves the player past to cleanup step and removes everything from the stack. It works in the obeka deck

Threaten effects do not work with Obeka or Sundial and Skyfire is a threaten effects. I'm not the only one that thinks this, multiple people are thinking this based on a comment someone else wrote and my 12 likes on my comment. You are the only one that thinks it works and all I can do is suggest that you look up the ruling for Obeka or Sundial. They should tell you these types of effects won't let you keep the creatures.

@@barnstorming4535 just because it goes to the cleanup step doesn't mean the turn doesn't end. The turn ends, and the threaten effect lasts until end of turn, so the threaten effect ends.

Someone needs to tell Corey to put more lands in his decks. He often gets mana screwed and when you look at his list, he usually has around 30 lands, give or take.

I feel like that this was a complete mismatch, Niv Mizzet had the table on lock most of the game, like the power level of Niv just outweighted even slivers, then again Corey got screwed for lands. Congrats to another season of randomonium or as the OG's call it the wheel of madness

ARCANE spells are a specific type of Instant or Sorcery so Stephen misplayed by taking off of Ashnods Altar

I get he has a lead but I absolutely hate the 3 on 1 feel of the last few weeks. Usually the random games are my favorite. But this season they definitely highlighted the worst side of commander. Just gang up and curb stomp.

"Can't be countered" doesn't prevent spells that counter from being played, it just prevents the counter part of the rules from working. Since Disrupt counters a spell and draws a card, the draw a card part still works even if the spell wasn't countered.

Corey was playing the First Sliver wrong when it came to cascade.... When you cascade with first sliver out, the sliver spell you cast has cascade, and if you hit another sliver, that sliver also cascades into the next thing.
