Stephen misplayed his commander, he was drawing twice, once fir the enitial trigger and again if he chose not to play a land but Kynaios and Tiro say "Each OPPONENT who didn't draws a card"

I really like the Hidden role games. It really adds to the experience in my opinion because you end up building around the role rather than just building more stereotypical decks even when they are built around other themes. The dynamic deck building and playing to fulfill the role adds a lot to the experience rather than just the standard gameplay. Y'all are great overall either way, but extra spice is always nice.

This was a lot of fun. But may I suggest a twist? Hidden Cinnamon roles. Director Dan hides freshly baked cinnamon rolls somewhere nearby and says nothing. The fellas have to play a game with that delightful aroma wafting about. And we watch them talk about it and maybe stop and hunt for them. I'm full of ideas guys...

Stephen, the Drawing if you don't put a land in to play is only for your opponents. You don't get to draw two from that guy.

I always love the hidden roles! Thanks for keeping the music out of the game play BTW. This series has the best table talk. Also I loved Corey keeping the path to exile on deck and playing through the magus, that was really smart playing!

Boy, Stephen sure is drawing a lot of cards he’s not supposed to off of K&T. I’ve counted like 4 extra and the games not over yet. (K&T only draws its controller one extra card, not two)

In this instance, yes. Yasharn stops sacrificing as a cost, Minsc and Boo sacrifices as part of the ability resolving, not as a cost, so it's not affected.

Green did meet his roll, right? The roll said different mana values not converted mana values. He could have done it with all five drops if he wanted to.

Sacrificing the creature isn't to cast a spell or activate an ability, it's just done on resolution of the ability

Stephen should have gone with Rorakh + Kodama of the East Tree Partners, Rorakh has 0 mana value so that gives him a unique mana value right there and Kodama's ability would let him put down all types of permanents with ease.

Pretty sure Corey killed himself at the end casting Thundermaw Hellkite. He tapped what looked like an Ancient Tomb to cast it. I believe he could only get in with the Mountain Goat otherwise due to Annex 1:18:33

Depending on how loosely you count "Animal creature types" I would have gone with Volo, I've got a deck where every creature in it has totally different creature types from every other one.

I love hidden roles but I think they should all just be silly roles. Jon’s role is literally just play voltron. That compared to everyone else’s role is kinda unfair. His role would’ve been overpowered if he wasn’t just trying to make Stephen mad.

Dont' wanna complain, but I think if I had Jon's hidden agenda, I would have chosen Thada Adel, Inquisitor. He could have used the armor pieces of his opponents against them, not to mention that artifact tutors are much better in blue.

The chances others are playing relevant equipment is close to 0 with this being 1 of the hidden roles so none of the others is likely to revolve around equipment so Thada is irrelevant.

@@Dark-Pikachu1 there aren't any that tutor but there are a bunch that care about equipment in both monowhite and Boros. And there are a bunch of white tutors for equipment. Someone mentioned elsewhere in the comments, but Ardenn and Rogahk are probably the best for this strategy.

At this point, I'm convinced you could put Yu-Gi-Oh cards in Corey's deck and he'd never notice until after he tried to play it. He makes Stephen look like a learned scholar by comparison

Attempt 4 for asking for a lost companion episode. Decks that use companions but dont fit in the commander identify. Example, Grixis deck with Kaheera as the companion.

Stephen had a Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth on the battlefield. Therefore the ancient tomb tapped for green.

He also tapped a land near the top right of the screen as he cast the Thundermaw, as Jon counts with Cory you hear him count to two then mention Raging Ravine, which Cory must've pointed to.

They said 2 minutes earlier than that there was a Yavimaya cradle of growth in play. Also, it was like Stephen's third land drop

@@bluevader13 still didn't have the 5 mana necessary without tapping tomb for 2. Also, didn't Corey nearly kill himself with his own Ruric Thar like 20 mins before this? Lol let's not act like it's not within the realm of possibilities that he simply forgot he'd take 2 damage for the mana.

I assume he tapped it for green since Steven Green had a yavimayah out so he didn’t have to lose life.
