I'm 48, I've been a mobile braider since I was 12, it's my passion. I love my clients, when they ask to buy me things, I decline, because I wouldn't want my son see me eating and he's not eating. So, they buy us both food. Yay!

How do yall choose ur clients? Do yall require ID and current pictures? Im asking because even though someone coming to ur home could be dangerous, it can be even worse going to their place... Just hoping you ladies stay safe😊

Is there a dress code when you go to their home? Do you ask for identification? What safe measure are you taken? Do you service Homes with animals, smokers? As a “Freedom” Medical professional /travel HH.. You have to be VERY careful.. Cause you on their territory once u enter THEir home Stay safe, Stay Focus💫✨ OH! Ya work is Amazing🌟

Hi! May i ask you something i’ve been curious about As a mobile braider, how do you feel comfortable going into peoples homes? Like, do you screen them or ask for their ID or something! I’m just curious bc i’m very intense about my safety/who i allow around my place! I don’t even do nails from my own apartment lol i do them in the apartment rec room! So yeah i was just wondering how you’re comfortable with who you’re meeting or prepared for any situations! Thank you && i hope your work is going well 😊

My daughter 14 and she has her own little businesses lol i put her in a high school with a cosmetology program to help.improve her skill

Great idea. Make sure her “businesses” are set up properly to avoid getting shut down. I’ve seen it too many times. Great job of being a supportive mom

You're so right!! I took cosmetology in HS, but chile I was already working in a salon at 14, one of the ladies from my church needed a braided for the weaves back in 89, so I learned a lot from her. But, I was too grown to sit in cosmetology class, smh. I finally got my license at 33, lol. I still kept my clients and thought I would get more respect from my license...I didn't, cuz clients gon still try you no matter what. Lol

@misserrie lol, I was talking about myself. But, I put my son in cosmetology also, so he can have a skill on the side. But, he didn't gravitate towards it, but he sho gravitate towards my coins. Lol 🙄

I was a mobile braider for years n yes there are a lot of perks, story n laughs. I've been to their kids games, graduations, baby showers, birthday parties, funerals like a family member. Love my clients, miss them a lot. I need to call some of them tomorrow.

I started braiding at 15yrs old, and WISH I could still braid and be a mobile braider... but sadly I have pain in my hands at times, arthritic knees, and when I stand too long my bad hurts badly😢 Make sure yall work out, stay hydrated, and take care of ur hands!!!

What an excellent job !!!! So pretty shiny healthy and each style is different but what they asked for and you know how to do it all all that they ask for !! They don’t mind doing that for you giving to you they see you came up with an idea that was good for you both plus you love your work and you have good energy they are good to you in case you go up in the world yourself that you will still go to their house and do their braids like !!! So pretty you do a great job and just cause your an expert doesn’t mean that that it’s not hard or tiring they are good to pay you and and give cheerfully that’s why they are doing well in life that’s why they are successful like you say they aren’t small about things !!!! You should do a series where you conduct mini interviews and ask your clients what they do for a living, how they got into their field, and any specific tips they suggest for others trying to break thru….(maybe very successful and or interesting and non saturated job fields…)

I love this. Be careful. My husband's mobile braider and friend of about 20 years was killed traveling on 95 in Miami. She had just finished someone's hair. She left behind 3 children. 🙏🏼❤
