Күн бұрынOnce again, Erik Anders Lang is back with the break 90 challenge. This time he tees up at TPC Harding Park, the location of the 2020 PGA Championship. Erik is up to the test playing under PGA tournament conditions from the tips at 7,169 yards, par 70. The task of posting a score under 90 is a challenging one. So, Erik, having the advantage of playing at TPC Harding Park many a time, must focus to succeed. What do you think? Will Erik break 90? I feel like my high school golf coach would have had a heyday with these videos, lol. He always said "There's no reason to ever shoot 90. All you have to do is hit your tee shot, hit your 2nd/3rd up by the green (minus Par 3s), chip and 2 putt, and that's 90! Now always keep the ball below the hole and one of those putts will roll in!" ... If only I had listened to him. I was always pulling out the Driver and swinging for the flag stick every shot 😂

Your mentality with golf is the epitome of what it should be, and it’s helped me tremendously as a beginner who has a history of being hard on themselves. Rule 17b has been in full effect the past couple weeks as I figure this out and that’s because I’m able to watch your content, so thank you Erik.

Love this series. Think the voice over is a master stroke. We love watching you tackle these courses; but by providing the insight after the fact; your able to take the frustration out of it and just what your were trying to do, and what happened (on the rare cases when their not the same). This is not only more entertaining, but more didactic as well. We can all learn from your actions and experience. Keep up the great work!

I like his attitude. It sounds like the lamest compliment you can give, but I mean it with the highest honour. So many people are always upset when they hit a bad shot but he's easy breezy about it, without being apathetic, and it makes me feel calmer myself. It's radiant energy and I think he is inspiring me to have a better attitude about my game and play a better game myself.

Glad I've discovered your channel, great stuff. Tipping out a course was fun back in the day. My group played "one step", which was go to the very back edge of the very back tee box, take one step toward the hole and go.

What a beautiful course. Saw Tiger Sergio and Vijay play there like 11 years ago. That cross shaped building that is in the opening shot is an apartment where a lot of sf state students live. Had friends with a room in that building.. lots of good times at that spot in the world. Great vid. Brings back a lot of memories.

One thing I don’t think he mentioned during the pre-shots that’ll help folks - always pick where your miss is and select club and swing appropriately. His misses were mostly really pretty good here, leaving good angles to the pin and green to work with. Nice playing!

Love Harding Park. Even for a 22 HC like me, it's a course with prestige that even an average golfer can find sparks of brilliance from time to time. If i can par half of the holes here, I'm certain that you broke 90 even from the tips.

@@TalkingGolf Yeah it is. Just an expensive one if you don't live in San Francisco or the greater Bay Area. About $88 if you live in SF, $119 if you live in bay area, and i think $160 if you're not from the area.

Great stuff. Makes me forget the snowman on my card yesterday. I got to play SF Golf Club a few years ago... Harding Park reminds of it, though a little less interesting. Might have to come over and play it one of these days. Not far from home for me.
