I met him when he lived in treasure Island Fla. My GF and I would run on the beach every morning and she said she had run with his wife a few times before we met, and I didn’t really believe her. Low and behold, one morning we were running and there they where. She introduced me and all I could think to say was "can you please bodyslam me"! He laughed and said "oh little man, I don’t wanna kill ya and go to jail", in perfect Macho Man style. I saw him one more time at the 7-11 getting a 12 pack of Miller lite and he remembered me and laughed and said "aren’t ya glad I didn’t kill ya little man". Again, in perfect MM style. He seems to be a honestly sweet and humble man. RIP big guy, I’ll never forget you!

I saw him out of character. Ran into him at a Vic Tanny Gym when he was in town for a hardware/home improvement show. Worked out with him and he was really nice and strong as an ox too.

My dad knew him outside of the ring. He was who he was on TV. A lot of those guys aren’t, but he was the real deal. Between him and his brother, the intensity of wrestling was kicked up several notches.

Was lucky to meet Randy as a young kid at 88 the 1st ever SS at MSG, and my 1st ever wrestling event also, truly humble and a class act r.i.p. Randy🙏

Randy Savage was a class act and a true gentleman, and there’s no better example than 20:23. I’ve heard tons of these shoot interviews, it’s not very often that we hear the interviewee take just a little time to compliment the people asking the questions. Macho Man really loved his fans and that’s a big reason why we loved him. He is missed dearly and I wish he was still here, but I guess the Big Wrestling Company in the Sky needed a new main eventer so they called him up to their roster.
