Since its inception in 2006, Four Rivers has teamed with law enforcement, the judicial system and many other agencies to address the problem of addiction-one of the most pervasive and destructive forces in our culture today. We need your help to continue the work. We are grateful for the strong support of the community in the past and ask that you join with us again this year.
Larry Gatlin keynote speaker was born in 1948 in Seminole, Texas. He was performing with his brothers by the age of seven. After graduating from Odessa High School in 1966, he attended the University of Houston on a football scholarship. Gatlin's music career has spanned decades and featured hits including, "Broken Lady", "All the Gold in California", "Houston (Means I'm One Day Closer To you)" and many, many more.
His success is not limited to the country music stage. He has starred on Broadway, in television and film. Gatlin co-wrote a memoir, All the Gold in California, which was published in 1998. Since 2010, he has appeared on the Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network as a political and social commentator.
In the midst of great triumphs and success, Gatlin experienced deep personal struggles. He will inspire us with the story of his incredible life -- his rise to fame, his struggle with alcohol and drug addiction and how he emerged clean and sober with the help of friends and by the grace of God.
Country music superstar, Randy Travis, will perform! With record sales over 25 million, 22 number one hits, six number one albums and numerous awards from every music association, Travis has made an indelible mark on the music industry. Four Rivers is beyond grateful for his generous gift of music to support this ministry. It promisees to be an exciting and entertaining evening.

I remember so well, back around 1989, dancing around the house with my baby boy up on my shoulders and my wife smiling and watching listening to Randy on tape and singing "Forever and Ever Amen". May God bless and deliver Randy Travis.

Funny how now in 2019 30 years later my 4 year old son, and 3 year old niece sing and dance when I play his hits. Hard rock bottom of your heart. My son loves that one. His songs can be about losing love, but the tunes are so upbeat, and catchy.

I'm not a everyday listener to country music, but I love and admire Randy Travis. Nobody's voice has the soul and integrity that his voice has. I especially love his slow ballads and Christian hymns. Such a Southern gentleman and good soul. I pray for him daily to overcome his health problems and find Peace and Joy again. If he is never able to sing again, he will still go down in history as one of the all time great country singers. But I think God will heal him and let him sing again. I pray for that. May God bless Randy and those he loves.

We've lost so many of my musical hero's over the years... I was so sad when we all lost Waylon, then Johnny & June Cash... Buck Owens, Porter Wagoner... BUT... I literally lost it when George Jones died. I cried as if I had lost my own brother. To me George Jones was the very essence of pure country music. His music meant more to me than words can describe. I had counted on Randy Travis to carry that purity on for years to come. I am SHOCKED at the prospect of losing him...please pray for Randy

He knew every one of Randy's songs by heart! God bless you, Randy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you for you to have a complete and speedy recovery! I remember listening to Randy Travis in the early 80's and LEADING the revival of GOOD country music; as it had been in a down slide for awhile. Everyone was so impressed with his vocal talent, his good looks, his rags-to-riches story. I know I was in awe of him. I saw ALAN JACKSON OPEN for Randy Travis, if you can imagine that !! One time I walked into a record store; when I went to the cash register I had a copy of Def Leppard's "Hysteria" in one hand...and Randy Travis' "Old 8 x 10" in the other....The clerk looked at me like I was nuts (and so what if I AM ??) and I said "You got a problem here, son?" And he stuttered "No, no ma'm...but I've just never seen...such a....." he trailed off. I looked him dead in the eye and said "It's called VARIETY, son. A GOOD variety! Ya just can't limit yourself to one TYPE of music, you MIGHT JUST miss LEARNING something musically IMPORTANT !! Now, ya gonna ring me up or what ?" LMAO ! What a chuckle I had that day...Now to see what Randy has put himself thru is heartbreaking. I keep you in my prayers, as I am a stroke survivor myself. My was not nearly as severe as yours, but I DO have my days when my memory takes a hike and I must speak very slowly so I can be coherent. Your fans love you, Randy, and we wait for your full time return to the music stage with open arms!

I grew up listening to Randy Travis and Patty Loveless and the rest of that era of country music with my Dad who is now gone home to his Heavenly Father. I watched my Dad go through some of the hardest times of his life after a brain aneurysm and subsequent paralysis before the cancer took him in 2009. This brings tears to my eyes, both for Randy and for my Dad. Get well soon Randy!

Unfortunately you don’t heal from the kind of stroke that he had. All of the healing that he was going to do from the 2013 stroke was done by 2015. After that two-year window there’s no hope for patients with traumatic brain injuries like that. When you watch them in interviews now he can’t speak and he will never sing again unfortunately

This man, along with george Jones have the quintessential country voices. They are the benchmark. They are the reason I wanted to sing country. It was my dream to meet george and I still want to meet Randy. I love him so much, but I think he should have stayed home for this one. The crowd was probably partly shocked cause this is not what we know of him. Almost thought at first he was under the influence. My heart and my prayers go out to God for him with all my heart.

I love your comment there my friend. I'm also a guitar player and singer but never made it big...so wat tho..anyway when my wife,,was my gf,,we seen randy in concert. I cant remember the date as im 63 now..To make a long story short we divorced after 23 years of marriage. BUT we do have 2 great wonderful boys who are also singers.Matthew is 16,,Dylan is 18..You could see them on tv soon as they areee moving up and is beginning to be discovered. Anyway my son Matt one day said to me Dad,,,Mom is cheating on you,I said why do u say that son? He said Dad,its plain to see..Well she was actually cheating on me,with my other son Dylans BEST FRIENDS FATHER. 😔.I grew up hating my own father because he beat her and cheated. So i grew up the opposite of him..So i divorced my wife one year ago,,,I left her and my boys the house. COMPLETELY. I left with 20 dollars to my name..Im homeless now but i do work temp jobs and live in my car.Yesterday i was visiting them.my boys and i were singing and playing guitar. Sandi came down the stairs. I said Sandi,,I have a song for u I'd like to sing.My boys were kinda shocked..Well i sang Forever and ever to her,,she bowed her head,,and tears rolled down her face,,my boys got up to hug me,,my son Dylan looked at his mom and said,,,ma,,,,,,,its a terrible terrible thing u done to dad..She turned and walked away..I said sons,,wats my GOLDEN RULE,,,they looked at me,,and matt said,,TO ALWAYSSSS LOVE OUR MOM NO MATTER WAT SHE HAS DONE...i said yes it is sons.😔... ..... .... .. . Salute and God bless u all from Danny in Chicago 😎

I'm so lucky to have gotten to see him live in concert about 10 years ago. It's one of my all-time favorite memories.

So sad. As someone who has been hit with unexpected health problems but I can still talk and walk, I can’t imagine how tortured his soul must have been and probably still is trying to come to grips with his new reality 😢😢😢

Randy Travis is the image and sound I immediately get in my head when someone mentions country music…….then along come all the greats like both George’s, both Hanks, Charlie, Marty, Darryl, Dwight, Allan and on it goes…….when it comes down to who is Mr country in my mind it’s Mr Travis, health has him stymied now…just thank god we have recordings like this that generations can appreciate moving forward….god bless Randy Travis and what he gave us while he could.
