Randy Travis sings "Amazing Grace" at George Jones' funeral

You can tell a good singer by when he just has a guitar and his voice. The crowd is dead silent listening to every little sound of his golden voice. Truly amazing
@razorwire30564 жыл бұрын
Thats a true story. Years ago, I saw the Gatlin Brothers in concert in Ontario and about 3 songs in, the entire sound system went out. They went back stage to try to fix it and probably 20 minutes later, the brothers came back out and Larry said, "We don't know what's wrong. If anyone wants their money back, we'll work it out with you. Right now, we're just gonna sit here and play and sing for you." And that's what the three of them did all evening. Three guys with guitars and no sound system. Couple of years later they opened the show for Kenny Rogers in Toronto and they had a perfect concert but it wasn't nearly as good as they were that night when it was just the three of them and no amps.

I was in Ft Leavenworth, KS, military prison, in case there is any doubt, when i first heard Randy's "Forever and Ever...". Since then, his voice and music has ruled my life. My kids sang "Digging up Bones" as "I'm picking my nose" and they couldn't understand how I thought that Randy would somehow approve if he could see the image, in the rear view mirror, of my babies having so much fun, and glorying in his melody. Randy simply SLAYED me and my only son with "He Walked on Water" when my 10 year old son told me, "Daddy, this is my song to YOU!" OH Randy, you brought the best of thought and music about simple country LIFE to us all, and i will NEVER forget you for that. YOU brought me, my wife, my children together, in a time i wish wish I could escape to forever. G-d bless, my brother, for all you have GIVEN!! G-d will NOT forget!!!!!!!!!!

I am sorry, but I just have to mention this. There was a lot of people judging this man for an outbreak he had. No one walks in his shoes and people never know what is happening to him in his life. Medical, abuse, stress and so on. He is a human being and has been a kind man and gives us all joy when listening to his music and spreads the word of God. Pray and do not judge. Glad to see so many here who still love him.

God tell's us in His word that we all sin and fall short of His glory but through faith in Jesus Christ we recieve forgiveness of sins; as for all those people - including Wendy Williams- remember what Jesus said to all those people who were going to stone the women caught in adultery, He told them," let him without sin cast the first stone."

My doctors told me I had died on the table for about 2 minutes. The recovery process has been and is long and difficult. Yet here I am learning to live again. I really believe im a living miracle, to what purpose is up to the Lord of light and grace to show me as I live it out everyday . I used to play a guitar and sing, also wrote a few poems. I've yet to be able to play a guitar again , but I remain hopeful. Though broken. I still love life and the God who gave it to me !
