A&Z #1033 - professional eater Randy Santel versus the giant "Sari Not Sorry" Filipino Food Restaurant Challenge w/ Lumpia, Pancit, and Chicken Adobo hosted by A Taste of Manila in Wausau, Wisconsin!! A Taste of Manila is owned by Ed and Marjorie Giallombardo, and they host "ghost kitchens" and pop-up restaurants at bars, distilleries, and vendors around the Wausau, Wisconsin area. They thankfully invited ‪@KatinaEatsKilos‬ and I up to help kick off their new restaurant challenge as part of an event held at Timekeeper Distillery owned by their friends Dan and Kim. For this "Sari Not Sorry" Filipino Restaurant Eating Challenge, I had 45 minutes to feast on 8 giant pork lumpia, 2 softball-sized mounds of garlic fried rice, a giant portion of Filipino pancit with rice noodles and healthy vegetables, and 3 pieces of Filipino chicken adobo served with enough potatoes to fill up the plate. I enjoyed some optional dipping sauces plus 2 of their Westside Tasty Treat ice cream options - Mango Float and Berry Float. Both were yummy!! Courtesy of Timekeeper Distillery, I enjoyed a canned coattail with gin plus an old-fashioned made with bourbon. I was trying to become the 2nd person to win my $45 Filipino meal free plus a spot on the Wall of Fame!! Thanks to Ed & Marjorie with A Taste of Manila, Dan & Kim with Timekeeper Distillery, and everyone involved with the event for the delicious food, drinks, ice cream desserts, and hospitality!! Special thanks to everyone from around the Wausau area who came up to watch and meet us that January evening. We appreciate everyone in Wausau, WI and around Wisconsin who watches and supports our hard efforts!!

A Taste of Manila's "Sari Not Sorry" Filipino Restaurant Challenge in Wausau, Wisconsin ($45):
- A Taste of Manila first operated at Westside Tasty Treat located in Wausau, Wisconsin.
- Now they mainly do pop-up kitchens at bars, distilleries, and vendors around the area.
- This event was hosted at Timekeeper Distillery, very well known around the Wausau area.
- "Sari" is a Filipino word meaning "variety" and there was a lot of variety with this challenge.
- For this restaurant challenge, there is a 45 minute time limit to finish lots of tasty Filipino dishes.
- There are 8 giant pork lumpia and 3 pieces of chicken adobo with potatoes that fill up the plate.
- There are 2 softball-sized scoops of garlic fried rice plus a huge portion of tasty Filipino Pancit.
- I added on to my challenge, 2 of their Westside Tasty Treat ice creams with Mango and Berries.
- From Timekeeper Distillery, I enjoyed 1 of their canned gin drinks plus a bourbon Old-Fashioned.
- Restaurant challenge winners earn the $45 Filipino meal free plus a spot on their Wall of Fame!!
