Do you know what firmware you are on now? I updated mine about a month ago and still have the issue. I even bought that $80 signal box everyone has been saying fixes the issue. Now both sides are doing it🤦🏻‍♂️

I still haven’t fix mine from this. Been thinking about opening up myself and playing around with it at this point. I went and bought a rev 7 like I should have before buying this. If you find a way for the platter issue to be fixed please lmk as well haha. I did all the updates as well and bought the signal box and nothing. Wish I could return it but past the 2 year manufacturing return

I'm having that problem now. I just bought my Rane four. How do you fix that? I'd tried everything.

It was in vinyl mode , this only happens when I’ve been djing and scratching after about 15 minutes

People, Keep Saying… Big Things??? Big Errors with RANE4, folks need to Do the Updates and install… Drivers… Once u Opens.. Box and Gets Controller up and plugged in, My Rane4 Worked Great… and Customer Service @ InMusic was a Great Experience, I Hopes u guys Get your Controllers Working….😅

I understand, I too have not yet done any tests with a very powerful Mac in the possession of a friend of mine, although I believe that the problems come from the console I will probably be forced to send it for repair since it is still under warranty. Bye

​@@HODJPrimeTime A firmware update won't fix it. A ground loop isolator will. But don't use a groud loop isolator if you don't have a ground loop, otherwise you will induce a ground loop. 😂

@@meldjmelloworley7385 If you have your DJ setup (which includes ANYTHING that is connected to it) on more than 1 electrical outlet, you WILL have a ground loop, whether you can hear or not.

​@@HODJPrimeTime The issue is that the Rane Four jogwheels are sensitive to ground loops. Ground loops occur when your equipment is connected to more than one outlet. The simplest solution is to plug everything into the same outlet. But this isn't practical in many circumstances, so what you do is buy a ground loop isolator. I recommend the ART DTI. Thank me later. 🙂

​@@HODJPrimeTime If you disconnect the Rane Four from the speakers then your problem should go away, unless your computer is connected to a different outlet than the Rane Four.

​@@HODJPrimeTimeIf that is the case, then I am correct and you have a ground loop due to the equipment on a different outlet connected to the Rane Four. It is a good idea to have a ground loop isolator as a DJ regardless if you have the Rane Four or not. It comes in handy.

Just remember NOT to use a ground loop isolator if you don't need it. You will know you need it if the Rane Four needs to be connected to a mixer or speakers that are on a different outlet. Check if the signal ground is already lifted or not (most likely it won't be). If it isn't then use a ground loop isolator for each audio connection that goes to a piece of equipment on a different outlet.

You probably have your controller on the same electrical line as your laptop and/or powered speaker via power strip. For some reason Rane didn’t do a good job of isolating those frequencies within the controller itself, so it interferes with some midi functions on the controller. So a ground loop isolator eliminates the electrical hum that’s coming from the other devices, you can find a variety on Amazon, try to find one that has 1/4 in and xlr inputs and outputs. All you do is go straight from your controller to the input of the isolator, and go from the output of the isolator to you external mixer or speakers.

​@@HODJPrimeTime You can still get a ground loop without an audible hum. Balanced connections don't eliminate ground loops. They HIDE them by lowering the level of the hum.
