Was super excited to buy this unit. After reading all the comments and finding so many folks complaining about it, I have decided to go to Pioneer. Rane already screwed me over $2100 with the: Rane 68. They literally stole my money. I am not spending another dime on RANE.

I’m a diss jockey. I’ve never had a problem with this consul. The rane four it was my number one choice because it has the voiceover button on it and that was very important to me as a disjockey nothing against you or anybody else in these comments but I don’t scratch so I don’t touch the jog wheels there’s a big difference between scratch DJs and dis jockeys your probably a scratch dj me. I’m a dis jockey a dis jockey plays music blends songs, fades music in and out and doesn’t have any dead air except for when they talk again I’m not scratching, but it’s not my thing. Hi, I am from Europe - Czech republic. And I have the same issue with Rane Four - left platter has issues in vinyl mode and time to time it stops working 😢. I like a machine a lot with all its functions, but as I read this is common issue and nobody has a solution for it I will go back to Pioneer. With previous controler DDJ 800 everything worked as expected.

I'm so glad you did this cause I have issues with the MK12 did you get that issue fixed and how. We pay too much money to go through this.They need to recall them all back and fix the issues or give us something that doesn't have issues . Work too hard for this

Smh i have the same problems with my rane four & the bpm was was off not able to use the stem mode it wasn’t working I sent it back 3 weeks ago waiting for my replacement I never had this issue with pioneers equipment

I am currently experiencing this, it happened to me one time and also I was doing a session where the Rane fours went in an idle mode I couldn’t press my samples and the digital screen kept saying rane fours and it was spinning. I couldn’t see the next track on them.

I had the same issue with my FOUR I just sent mines off for a replacement smh.

Yea my Rane right jog wheel has the same issue, I really love the unit. It is built like a tank but I have to send it back.

I just purchased the Rane Four and after two days of ownership Im experiencing the exact same issue. I thought I was just cuttin & scratchin too much. I'm disappointed after having such anticipation, now I have to go thru the whole return process for a replacement. This suckxz lol!!

Firstly, try it with a Windows laptop 💻 because the same issue occurred when I was using the Pioneer DDJ SX3. When I used my Windows laptop, everything worked without any issues. However, when I went back to my MacBook Pro, the issues returned. What I did to resolve the issues was to reduce the sensitivity of the platters. Since I reduced the sensitivity of the platters, my Pioneer DDJ SX3 has been working fine till today. If you try the same method with the Rane 4, it might work.

i agree my rane 4 is doing the same but i figured it out and its working fine now...

I think its a ground issue bro. My other controllers do the same thing. Its something related to the stuff plugged in the outlets.

Scratching seems off with mine. I can't put my finger on it but it feels off. I can scratch 10 times better on my flx 6. It's like my cross faded cut it in to late. Just doing chirps is difficult . Has anyone had any issues like this?

Sorry to hear the bad news that's why I told everybody keep your old equipment ain't nothing wrong with the old equipment you got to watch this new stuff why you think they keep coming out with it but it look good ain't nothing but a software you put on your old equipment you just got to learn where everything.

You can hear a buzz when you touch platters

I have a channel issue... I have to use channel 4 for channel 2 cause it just won't work. when I use the stems they are high pitched and not staying volume level. I will stay away from Rane as well bro I feel your pain $1700 down the drain.

A lot of this is in the settings use virtual dj easy settings to set up any ddj

Ok I think I found the issues it’s a ground problem inside the way they try to ground the circuit boards You have to open it up to see what I have found out it’s poor engineering.They have the power ground wire going screwed on the bottom plate then under that same cover there are places that were bare metal to ground the circuit boards. I have already taken it apart and cleaned all metal contact places it has definitely improved the problem I had ,when slowing down or speeding up the side of the platter the platter would act like I had my hand on top it now does not do it but a few times in one hour testing , but it’s not 100 percent. I’m going to run small wires to where it needs to be grounded better as I pretty sure that’s the issue. I’m not able to send it back due to where I live and where it came from so I’m trying to solve this on my own.

That's too bad. I would sell all that shit and get either 2 CDJ3000's or 2 SC6000M's and a used Pioneer s11 mixer. Used, i would get 2 CDJ2000Nexus or two SC5000M Denons
