Range Rover L322 34" tyres and 2.5" lift fitting

Got my 2.5" lift fitted. In offroad mode there is only minor scrubbing at full lock but I still need to trim down the inner arch liner for driving in normal height.
Was fairly straight forward, even easier if I didn't have after market rear height sensors.
Always loved the look of a lifted Range Rover so happy to have my own now.

I fitted Maxxis Bighorn 34 1/2" tyres. Knackered my suspension, £1000+ mistake plus tyres. Now back on standard tyres.

@@richardschofield2201 too big a radius, caught on lock, and insufficient travel. Did both my front airbags at the same time.

I used the same ones, no one sells them in the U.K. so had to order from the states

Nice vid. There.. definitely getting a set of these rods. As for the M57 engine...can one fit the X5 E70 m57 version mine is already knackered. Please advise.

Thanks! Not sure what the plan is as it’s the daily but might make a front bumper to mount a winch to.

@@georgeberry94 Is there any legal issues to fabing one yourself? Or will you have to buy one (like the one lucky8 makes/made) and just mount it yourself.

No issues in the U.K., people make off-road bumpers for older land rovers or pickups generally.

@@georgeberry94 Jealous of that, we have insurance and legal issues if we have non-engineered aftermarket parts i.e. Bullbars, lift's etc.

I have a 03 Range Rover hse, I had the whole suspension conversion done from air bag to shocks and springs, I also did a 3inch lift kit along with with 20x12 moto metal wheels and size 33 inch tires drove it for a day and it gave the light on the dash saying the same thing what it says on this video “transmission fail safe mode” turns on fine but wen I drive it for like 5 to 10 mins the light on the dash lights up and the car truck loses power but the rpms climb fast wen stepping on the gas, I had a buddy bring his scanner and on the scanner it says improper gear ratio 5. What does that mean? Can anyone explain pls?

First check all your light bulbs. Believe it or not this will cause weird problems. Check brake light switch. Check alternator for correct output. Did you remove fuse number 57 when the coils were installed? This will disable the EAS system, and if left in will cause strange faults.

It's incredible how much rust and corrosion you get on your vehicles in the UK. Is it from road salt or the ocean air?

Salt on the roads. Winters here are pretty stable in temperature and it's cold enough to freeze at night, but rarely gets so cold that salt won't work. So we use a lot of it. But, this RR looks like a pretty bad neglected example in terms of rust.

What window vent shades do you have on the Range Rover? I like the flush look. Would you purchase them again?

I believe t n near are henko wind deflectors. I've used them on various cars. Recommended.

does it matter if you were to remove the rear muffler at the back in term of driveability ? know it will sound better ?

They sound way better with the factory muffler off and 2 single put on.

I bought it off eBay in the states for around £50, I have family over there who posted it to the U.K. If you speak to the suppliers I’m sure they could post worldwide.

You could do this using a diag machine to recalibrate the suspension to gain what ever lift you want. I done mine with the foxwell nt520pro

It’s a shame they can’t make those cars more reliable I would buy them rest of my life Land Rover customer services are disgraceful and Embarrassing in USA at least They don’t make reliable cars and they don’t care about you as soon as you buy one
