Over the years I still can't understand why we don't focus all of our training efforts on 1. Corner Kicks (both offense and defense) 2. Breaking down a 'Park the Bus' defense. Does no one on the training staff see that these 2 areas are CLEARLY obstacles we can't seem to overcome? I have to imagine that if we solve these 2 areas even a little bit, we wouldn't ever even be in title races because we'd score / defend so much more goals.

If Shankland had been bought in January's window, Dessers would be sitting on the bench and we would be points and goals clear of celtic. Couldn't agree more CJ, this squad is honkin genuinely believe maybe 6 players in the squad are good enough and of those 6 I'm not even saying they are necessarily good enough to be 1st 11, no disrespect to him as he always seems to try... But if I need to watch Scott wright next season I might end up gouging my eyeballs out... As you say how Clement is managing to get results out of this squad is nothing short of a miracle

I still don't know what Dessers or Silva do nor why we start them consistnetly. And I know Silva was the savior with a GREAT goal in stoppage time, but beyond that he is COMPLETELY useless on the field. He doesn't even tough the ball in build up. As for Dessers, he make the worst decisions when he has time to make a decision. TAKE THE SHOT, MAKE THE PASS. STOP THINKING!

I think Ben Davies is pretty solid for the most part. I feel like all his criticism comes from the Parkhead disaster last season (and the Liverpool drubbing when Salah came on in the 70th minute against him and Leon King) but so did McLaughlin, Borna, Lundstram and the whole team.

Was never a penalty. Had similar calls go against us, but brave and correct judgement from the ref. Can't be easy to stick when the VAR is "urging" you to twist.

The Dessers offside goal took 3 minutes because, the challenge with sterling on their defender, the ball looked like it skiffed of thw defenders legs in that challenge. Meaning it couldn't be offside.

This game was a weird mixed bag. Tav is in honking form defensively. Silva scoring was good, but for a so called £35 million striker, 3 goals is nothing to brag about. Still on the day he was a bit better. Though no one was really at it first half for us. 2nd half as usual we improved a bit, but the goal to go ahead, wasn't due to a great tactical switch. It was both lucky and unlucky for Clement, that Balogun had to go off. Davies then put us ahead. Oddly, Davies and Souttar looked fairly comfortable together at the back. Which is a positive. Then obviously we got two more goals. However on the last 10 or so mins, we didn't go at it like a team chasing goal difference. Even if we break form and win next week, Celtic will have to drop more points and wobble or we will have to have an absolute goal blitz in the last games. It is hard to believe that will be the case. Still glad we won today. Though I think the scoreline flattered us, vs 10 man Killie.

Tav's penalty was a great shot. But that was a GREAT save by the keeper. Can't take anything way from Tav for that save.

Happy as with the 3 points and 4 goals but I’ve lost count how many times we’ve given teams a 1 goal start. If Dessers could only shoot first time instead of his predictable trying to cut inside we could be sitting in a controlled position.

IMO the lg is over and i cant wait to see the back of most of this squad, the fact is they're just not good enough and previous managers have felt this. I want to see Clement get his own players in to see how he does.

I don't know what I thought about that, despite winning 4-1. Personally, I thought Cantwell, Diomande and Sterling in particular looked hungry even in the harder moments. Clement always talks about the squad - would be nice to see the likes of Davies, Raskin to contribute in a big way

The game does need VAR otherwise we end up with more incidents like the 2019 League Cup final offside goal, or the penalty that Celtic were awarded against Davis in 2011 etc. etc. etc. BUT it needs to be much quicker. Why does it take so long before the ref is even called to the monitor??

The result today has papered over the cracks as Kilmarnock before the sending off were looking decent and we were per usual slow out the blocks, we are brutal to watch. The slow play and Dessers needing 6 touches to get a shot away. We need a major clear out and rebuild in the summer but I don’t see where the money is coming from.

Is it time to consider Tavernier’s future? Consider yesterday’s game, Kilmarnock’s first attack. An innocuous ball to the back post Tavernier wrong-sided again, pulls his hand back to avoid a penalty and manages to squeeze the ball into his own net. Absolute howler! Then later in the first half, we get awarded a penalty, up steps Tav who brings a save from the keeper. TV pundits applaud the save, but to me Tav should have converted the penalty and didn’t. So Tav’s first half contribution is pretty dire: Own goal Missed penalty We went through the pain barrier with Goldson’s indiscretions until Clement had enough and benched him. Shouldn’t he be doing the same with Tav? Most teams we play against recognise his defensive frailties and target him with expectations of mistakes emanating from him. There is a balance here with Tav, he contributes with attacking play and chips in with a lot of goals, but is he tipping the balance with, getting caught out of position and committing unforced errors? It worries me knowing he will be up against Maeda on Saturday. Maeda will be all over him, like a rash. He will harass Tav and force mistakes from him. Tav doesn’t have the speed to combat Maeda.

The offside delay ruling is an element of endangering players and losing control of the goalscoring abilities of attacking sides. It is an artificial addition to the playability of the sport as opposed to VAR which is a post-event, verification tool. Once we get AI trained to read the rule rules and assess breaches of the law then it’ll quicken VAR decisions. Why not put the extra ref on the pitch and save all the technology for goal-line decisions.

I’ve been kind of hesitant to get behind Dessers… I wonder if it’s worth sticking with him next season. Another year in the SPFL, more experience. Despite his misfiring or his No firing (!!!) he has still contributed a decent amount of goals. Stick with Dessers and I think next season he’ll be pushing 20+ goals

At their O.G - 'goal' ... and in days gone by Andy Goram would have simply have dived at their player's feet to smother the ball, so for me, their 'goal' in on Buttland imo.
