Arcade Quinn underrated for sure. For very long time it was my favourite skin in the game and i still want it in LoL

I think that for DnD skins, splash art is about 70% of the appeal. Yeah, some of them like Darius, Lee Sin, or Garen aren't too different on their own and they would be super boring if they were implemented in League, but the image of them just being a bunch of friends playing DnD - and you seeing it every time you look at the card - makes these skins so much more fun.

Nicky. The reason Fizz Finslayer has a scar in level 2 and not in level one is because for that entire line, Level 1 is them at the table playing a roleplaying game. Level 2 is what is happening in the game. Level 2 is the character that Level 1 is playing as. You should really judge each of these skins as the level 2, because the level 1 is not supposed to look drastically different. Darius' final boss self insert is actually a cool design.

this is the first time for me to see LOR skins and oh my GOD are the corrupted skins one of the best concepts to ever exist in this universe

However I absolutely adore the artwork and design on Quinn. A lot of the Arcade designs reek a lot of "I don't really know what an arcade game looks like" so my favourite ones are ironically the regular humans, because this unattached look into gaming aesthetics kinda reframe them for me, Arcade Ahri for example what a "gamer" of that time would want a "gamer-gurl" to look like, and the titular Arcade Quinn being such a good unintentional look of what companies see gaming like in a way that could be marketable, she's the woman that appears in an ad, and I love it for her

Honestly that lvl 1 for piltover ekko sells the skin so hard. Like if you're gonna turn ekko into a high society piltovan, having him use the afterimages to socialize at a higher rate than anyone else is capable of really works well with his time shenanigans. Sucks that they completely dropped that idea in the level 2 art.

Corrupted Azir immediately wins best in the game for me. the snakeshoulders reference Zahhak, of Persian mythology, an emperor destined for greatness but who was corrupted both metaphorically and fantastically, eventually (famously) growing snakes on his shoulders that must fed by human brains. It's a great bit of extra storytelling for the character AND a nod to the vague cultural inspirations for Shurima's design. I simply must love it

I do love them making exclusive skins for the sake of doing concepts that are cool but would NEVER work in the rift, like Arcade Anivia. Also its hilarious that for some reason the LoR favorite child is Shyvana who has 3 skins, two of which are exclusives, meanwhile Lux is in this game and only has 1. They didn't even make Star Guardian Lux during the event. Lux has been dethroned.

The concept of the DnD skins is that level 1 is the players while 2 is the characters, some do it very well like Zilean but I still see the charm of Lee, Darius and Fizz that look like the regular designs, but now re-contextualized in this "2 frame story" of players and their characters, could it be better design wise? yea

I was a Gwen otp (Top/jgl) until I started playing adc, and I was really disappointed about the skin dilemma. I really like star guardian and the two wild rift skins, and I hated it that they didnt went to LoL. So much in fact, I refused using skins for my otp because space groove and cafe cuties didnt hit the spot for me.. and her base form was blue, so.. Yeah, even tho I understood why they did this, it wasnt less upsetting in the slightest. Damn Rito, I would have spend money! Guess you saved me.
