Why is it that doctor who as a series has such high highs and low lows

Series 7 is a difficult one to rank as I don't have a favourite or preferred episode, but some are better than others. Your probably gonna hate me but being brutality honest this is what I think of the episodes in this series Asylum of the daleks: 8/10 (it was my first matt smith episode) Dinosaurs on a spaceship: 7.5/10 (just a fun episode to me) A town called mercy: 7/10 (I can't help but like western settings also its fun to me) The power of three: 7.5/10 (I love the concept of the slow invasion and I don't mind the ending The angels take manhattan: 5.5/10 (I find it boring but it has good emotion The snowmen:9/10 (I just love it enough said) The bells of Saint John: 9.5/10 (again just good fun to me) The rings of akahten:6/10 (I like the world building the rest is just very bland) Cold war:8/10 (I've always wanted a doctor who base under seige episode on a submarine and I just really like it) Hide:6/10 (it's just ok to me) Journey to the centre of the tardis:7.5/10 (again just fun the side characters and the big red button ending brought it down a bit) The crimson horror: 10/10 (It's my favourite nuwho episode) Nightmare in silver: 8.5/10 (very fun to me but I agree I hate angie The name of the doctor: 9/10 (I just really like it) Overall I give this series 10/10 it's my favourite series of new doctor who pls don't hate me

it’s so weird watching this, especially after chibnall’s bullshit. I thought series 7 was mediocre at worst, I thought it was mostly great

Series 1-4 : the best the show has been Series 5-6: still good episodes, but not as big as the RTD era Series 7-flux: garbage!!!
