About the ship of Briar and Hopper, in the Sleeping Beauty fairytale the princess wakes up by a kiss from the prince right? And in The Frog Prince the frog can turn to his original prince form by the kiss of the princess. Kissing is in both of their stories, writers could have made something with this information. But just like other ships in EAH, this ship is underdeveloped.

Honestly for me the reason why darabella didn't make me feel things is because it feels very one sided in terms of the whole bringing out the best in each other thing that's in most daring ships. For Darise Daring he brought out the confidence in Cerise and she kinda brings him down to earth and challenges his world view on the whole saving damsel thing For Dizzie We saw a side of Daring where he's willing to put himself in humuliating position for Lizzie and she also learns to soften up But with Rosabella she's already pretty well adjusted so like there's no character development on her side and it's all daring. Basically their whole thing is Rosabella redeeming Daring with her love but THAT'S IT. Also they watered down much of Daring more positive traits like his emotional inteligence which I found very annoying.

9:11 so badly did I want Apple and Darling only because to me, the idea of Apple realizing Daring may not be her prince charming after all and having to relearn things she thought she once knew is so amusing. As a child I was never fond of Apple because she was so stuck on "her destiny", so I hoped this relationship would make her realize not everything is as black and white as she thought.

I feel like the problem with Rosabella is that they wanted us to care about her but didn’t give us enough time to get to know her. She barely had any major appearances (to my knowledge) before Epic Winter, so it feels kind of sudden to set her up with Daring who already had three potential love interests who had already gotten more development. Also having read the books I quite like the relationship that Humphrey and Meeshell have, Sparrow and Poppy is also pretty cool

Daring and Lizzie were one of the first ships I ever actively shipped. They are just so cute in the books, Lizzie being the only girl who isn't chasing after Daring, and that being what draws him to her. It's just perfect. When I watched Epic Winter, I got so mad at Daring kissing Rosabella, that I actually yelled and my mom rushed into the room cause she thought I was hurt or something.

From what I heard, Disney and Mattel had some conflict because Mattel was originally charged with the production of their Disney princess line of dolls, and the creation of Ever After High sparked some conflict between the two.

Idk if they wanted to have gay characters from the start and got erased by marketing or if they came up with Darling/Apple later in a moment of epiphany. Either way, it was perfect. Also, Cupid makes me very sad and I just want her to be happy because I know how she feels.

I honestly hope that if eah ever comes back the writers will actually do something abt Briar and Hopper like I've been rewatching the show and realize that they keep appearing next to eachother in the background. The reason we like Rosabella x Daring is because Rosabella is about the “true beauty within yourself” kinda mindset and daring mostly cares about his looks. It’s a good balence for daring’s ego and it shows him how to love himself even in beast form. Because everyone thought Daring was meant for Apple, it’s kind of a comfortable plot twist to have Daring end up with another princess and Apple end up with a different charming. It fits their characters so well. 😊😊😊

I think the most uncommon ships I had were: Brooke Page x Maddie Hatter (I really liked how Brooke seemed to care for the fairytale world, esp Maddie, and kinda just took that to romance, though it admittedly would be weird if they broke up and now you have to live with your ex narrating your life forever), Lizzie Hearts x Courtly Jester (for this one I mainly liked the drama of it - people finding out that the same jester that tried to rule wonderland and steal Lizzie’s destiny now being able to co-rule the kingdom she tried to take over, how the queen of hearts would react, Lizzie herself likely being conflicted, it was more about the drama and enemies to lovers trope than the chemistry that they were shown to have, but I could still see it tbh) And also Kitty x Cerise OR, imo better yet, Ramona Badwolf. I like the sort of cat and dog contrast, and while I could see an enemies to lovers thing with Kitty and Cerise (I LIKE THE TROPE OKAY), given how Kitty knows her secret and was taunting her with it in that one webisode, I think Ramona would work MUCH better because of how they’re both sort of troublemakers, it would give Ramona and Kitty (who probably doesn’t need it AS MUCH but still) more screen time and depth, and there could be a lot of drama given the terms that Kitty and Cerise are on, and that Cerise couldn’t make it TOO obvious since nobody else should know they’re sisters, maybe she’d bring it up to her parents only to find that they’re supportive, and how would Kitty’s mom feel? Would she be happy, because of the chaos? Would she disapprove because Ramona is a BadWOLF? For another reason altogether? I did also ship Holly and Darling but with the dragon games taken into consideration I’m much more into whatever the Apple x Darling ship name is and I don’t think that one is as uncommon as the others

Said groups hate one another 3. They often meet in secret to have dates with one another 4. When they’re discovered, tragedy struck I mean, how could they NOT be the next gen Romeo and Juliet

If I'm being completely honest I think Raven and Apple would have made more sense if they'd gone down that route. It would have added another interesting layer to their dynamic and made their decisions all the more weighted and complex. I'm still okay with Apple x Darling but Raven x Apple could've brought the plot to a whole new level and I see them as being the perfect yin and yang.

Like an Oedipus kinda story. By running away from your destiny you only run towards it. About Apple and Darling: I've got strong feelings about this one I believe that in the evh universe gays weren't a thing among the royals because monarqui and stuff, but they were definetly a regular thing among rebels, nothing condemed or out of place. So a lot happend once Apple and Darling fell for eachother (because they do, did and will). Darling always felt like a misfit among royals since the is a knith instead of your regular princess in distress, so coming into terms about the fact that she was into girls was kinda no big of a deal. But Apple was a whole other story. How come Snow White's daugther have more feelings towards "her" prince's sister than towards the actual prince? And that is something they both knew and fell since they knew eachother form a young age, but they both brushed it aside since Apple couldn't tolarate not following her destiny and Darling always felt that her crush was one sided. So was Apple not only strugiling to believe that her pince didn't woke her up, but the girl she has always liked did. This made her finally admit her feelings and create the courage to talk to Darling and get together and FINALLY live happily ever after... Except that after her graduation the royals would despise her because of their prejudice so she would became a human rigths activist, figthing for love and justice because even tougth she has evil within her, she would became a better person with Darling the knigth and protector of good tm by her side. So at the end of it all, she would most likely became queen regarless and would focus all her strengh on bringing peace and love for her kingdom. And the Queen and Capitan of the Royal Guard would live happily ever after. Bonus: The first time Darling goes to the school as a regular student, Apple runs to her and give her the biggest of hugs and brigthest of smiles and since Raven is a rebel so she knows that is okay to say gay she automatcly starts shipping the two and even confronts Apple about her feeling towards Darling and Daring, which leaves Apple as red as a... well, apple, but you got it! UNPOPULAR OPINION ALERT, but it will be worth reading; I really have a different view of Darling. I've read the books and watched the whole series. Darling and Apple's CPR is adorable but has another meaning to me. Two, in fact. On the one hand the two times Apple is rescued from her undefined slumber (first by Briar when she pokes herself with the spinning wheel looking for the book of legends. A very cute idea for Briar to have to face her worst fear, seeing that in her best friend) and the second time, by Darling. It's really a subtle way of giving us to understand that Apple will have her happily ever after with a girl, because it's a girl who rescues her both times. On the one hand to me that's what Darling's CPR reaffirms, on the other hand, Darling wants to be something more like a knight than a prince. We know that in her tale. She never expects to rescue a princess and then be just a figurehead in the story, she expects more; adventure, heroism, but with the difference that rescuing damsels is not centrally what she wants. Darling is different from all the Charmings. That's why she's perfect to be the white knight of Wonderland. She doesn't have the heart of a prince, she has the heart of a knight. When Darling sees all is lost and performs CPR on Apple she is just trying to save his life in a heroic gesture. She saves a princess, but more in a way a knight would than a prince. That's where the magic comes in, Darling "earns" the position of Apple's prince, why? because the prince in the story would be the one to save Apple and she did. But, but, the big but, that doesn't make Darling a prince at heart nor does it mean there is a love between Apple and Darling, she just fulfilled the story script and pure intent almost accidentally; anyone who would have performed CPR on Apple at that moment would have been able to wake her up and open fate as her prince, because she would have earned it. In the end this does not bind Apple and Darling romantically. Because it must be admitted for this point that if you saw the series and especially if you have read the books where Apple has an extremely close relationship with Raven, really, very close in the books particularly, where they talk better about how it looks was their friendship and their attachment, it is more real a RavenxApple than a DarlingxRaven. The series will quite possibly never point that way. But regardless of that, if we think deeply about the characters that's how I feel about Darling. I think yes happiness isn't necessarily next to a princess romantically, to me she can be Apple's knight and that would be great she even owes her life to him, but in romance Darling's happiness doesn't have to follow that pattern. I think Darling is different and follows her own path, that's it, cheers :3

This is going to be a really long rant regarding Cerise and Daring I’ve always been on board with Cerise and Daring, they’re just so perfect for each other. Daring gives Cerise this confidence she doesn’t really have, And Cerise shows Daring that stereotypical mindset of his regarding strength,women, and damsels in distress some corrections, and not actually what he was led to believe. And it matches their parents story as well, hear me out Little red riding hood right! Daring turns into a beast right??? You know who else is a loooot like that that, The big bad wolf. And i just have this little head canon on how Daring hides his side as a beast at first, cause yknow he’s all about being the dazzling great prince charming and probably led to believe beasts such as himself, in that case were rebels basing off of his mindset. And then there’s Cerise, and she just helps him and yknow all that stuff how beasts aren’t actually that bad, and Cerise herself has the big bad wolf as the father and she’s technically have wolf half human herself. And Daring as mentioned before helps Cerise as well with her confidence, since he’s just so overflowing with it it really pushes her more and more. So as they grow older Daring rules over his kingdoms, Cerise is free more than ever and behind the scenes Cerise learns how to be more public with the people of Daring’s Kingdom. And yknow with time, take place as queen while Daring can be more free as a beast without this mindset hindering him of his freedom of being himself.

my thoughts on each ship since no one asked (obnoxiously long comment warning) - dexter/raven: absolutely get married. i’ve loved them since i first watched the show and will continue to love them their dynamic is so good and they’re just so cute. - cupid/dexter: kind of meh. they do have some good moments but mostly their on-screen interactions are about getting raven and dex together. also not a huge fan of the one-sided attraction. i feel like cupid needs to find herself outside of love and romance and just be a person. - ashlynn/hunter: literally get married. one of my favourite ships in the show they’re so cute their dynamic is amazing they are 10/10 - briar/hopper: they’re ok i guess. i’m not in love with them but i see them as a pretty cute background kind of couple. not meant to be forever after but lifelong besties who dated in high school vibes. - duchess/sparrow: not romantically. they very much give mlm/wlw hostility and solidarity at the same time and i love that for them. their dynamic is *chefs kiss* but not as a romantic relationship. - humpfry/gillian: not too many thoughts there cute but not a standout favourite - alistair/bunny: i love them they’re so adorable together and i love the wonderland characters. cute dynamic and cute characters one of my favourite straight ships - darling/chase: nah. they have a vibe but it’s very platonic imo. also i don’t think darling is into men so i really can’t see them together at all. cool as friends tho. - darling/apple: mixed feelings. kind of a hot take but i don’t think they have much chemistry. i mean the cpr moment was super cute but prior to that they don’t really interact much and i have a hard time seeing them together. on the other hand i do love a canon(ish) wlw relationship and their dynamic in fanfics is very good. love the canon version, just them being underdeveloped in the show is a big let down - raven/apple: get married pls. idk what to say they’re just so in love and i love that for them. they’re enemies to forbidden friends to lovers and they’re so cute about it. 10/10 i love them - apple/daring: big no. i don’t think apple likes men and their relationship is very basic. also i feel like daring either needs to realise he’s aro or at least stop basing so much of his life and self-worth around romance. he is a person outside of being a love interest goddamn it. - daring/cerise, daring/rosabella, daring/lizzy: combing them because i have the same thoughts. overall big nope. see my point about daring being aro. also i hc all of these girls as some flavour of queer so… like in theory a lot of their dynamics are cute and they have good moments but they don’t feel like plausible ships to me.

I personally DO ship Rosabella and Daring but I think that's because I do like Rosabella's character and I do support their dynamic. I absolutely LOVE the EAH books but they make me very conflicted about the ships. I like the idea of Sparrow and Duchess, but the books make it seem like Sparrow ends up with Holly. Same with Humphry and Jillian, I like the thought of those two together with how they balance each other, but the books make it seem like Humphrey ends up with Meeshell. Aside from that, Ginger and Hopper was the other prominent ship from the books.

I remember it being said in one of the books that she is keeping strong in her destiny to preserve her family's honour. They didn't really show her stance on her destiny after Way Too Wonderland (when the Story Book of Legends was destroyed so she was no longer bound to that destiny in any way),

I agree with your statement about Darling and Apple's relationship. Like yes, it is cute but it's so unexpected and kinda came out of nowhere, but i do believe if the series were continued it would focus on Darling and Apple's relationship from there, it would be intresting to see the conflict between those 2 that would make the ship actually adorable and cannonly nice ^^
