Palpitoed is one of the few months that did something in unova with krokodile it's definitely the water type who did better than oshawoatt back then scragy oshawoatt unfezant boldore all of them are pretty useless the only decent ones are krokodile pignite palpitoed and even snivy did more in that team.

I do love Ash’s Totodile, he’s very funny and entertaining, but to me a better Johto water type that i think fits Ash more is Quagsire. Id be a cool Water,Ground type and could have the same personality Totodile has but more stronger. Also Palpitoad would have been way better if it evolved into Seismitoad, even then I highly doubt Seismitoad would reach Greninja levels of strength
