Sideswipe in rotf was honestly a badass character,good thing that the bayverse didn't ruined him,sideswipe in rid 2015 was also cool and unique

"The Bull is kind of odd." I thought that at first, too. It makes sense once you realize that Lamborghini's logo is that of a bull. When I remembered that I was like "Ooooh. I get it now!" T-Beast is fan art, though and I don't think the toy was made alongside the artist or anything. Though, that is how unlicensed Transformer toys go. I don't know if I've ever seen Emiliano Santalucia's art. I love it, it's a really nice blend of G1 and movie. I'd love a toy of it.

The Sideswipe that showed up in the G2 colors from IDW is the second Sideswipe named after the one that died.

I'm just in love with Simon Wong's design, it mixes the best of both G1 and the bayverse so well.

I remember seeing that episode of rescue bots and using it to connect it to the primeverse and legit believed that they were the same timeline

My first transformer was G1 Sideswipe back in 85. Never survived the rigorous trials of childhood, but I am happy to have MP Sideswipe in my collection as a nice homage

G1 and its variants: Red, black and white are solid primary colors. It's why Sideswipe is so identifiable 40 years on. Strong color scheme. G2: Mixing it up by give black the top spot isn't a bad idea. But instead of giving red the highlight position, they went with neon green? Yep, definitely a 90's move. Nothing says "XTREME!!!" like riotous neon colors. Bayverse: This shows the gap between reality and good design work. Vehicle mode and bot mode are both above average. But because a realistic car could be one unbroken color like silver or black they rely on the metal origami to break up the silver. If Bay had been willing to think like an animator, Sideswipe would be silver bot #5 in the movie. Of the toy variants, I like the one with the black racing stripe. It did what I suggested here. Aligned: Solid red is only a slight improvement over solid silver. RID Sideswipe comes off as a kid trying too hard. Only thing missing was his tattoos glowing (Airbender style). Plus, I was already used to Destiny's Child (Smokescreen). I didn't feel like breaking in another turbo-revving young punk. The rest: Honestly, most feel like Hasbro holding on to the copyrights. Generic car robot #3? Let's see, we need to squat on Sideswipe. Lets give it that name. Sideswipe has a name and a personality to go with it and its clear half the time Hasbro doesn't even look that up.

By far one of the best Sideswipe designs is Bayverse’s, damn he’s good! At least another design which looks good by my opinion is his RID (2015), that spiked hair just screams rebel teen!

I wish that going forward they merge the G1 design and the Bayverse design because Bayverse imo is peak Sideswipe and ofc, you gotta pay tribute to the original. The Prime aligned continuity design is probably the closest we'll get to what I wish new Sideswipe designs look like because the Bayverse movies made him one of my favourites from the design alone and the few scenes he got.

Unnecessary, but I wanted to address a Transformers Revenge of the Fallen repaint of Sideswipe figure exists called Swerve. He has the same body type, but a different head and apparently his quirk as a personality is a poor driver because of his work with toxic chemicals over the years. He's really intelligent, but a crappy driver because of fumes

My Best Sideswipe Design is (13:13-14:30), I like to get alt. mode Ferrari SF90 Stradale and weapons Swords & Double-Barreled Shotguns.

ROTF Sideswipe to me is so much better than the original i think of this design every time. (blasphemous I know but please allow me to explain), g1 swipe just seems like a generic red car autobot next to ironhide (who i also recommend as a black truck) But as a sleek sexy silver corvette stringray concept that turns into a bot with skate feet with Baraka blades not to mention having quite the nicely designed shaped head? MWAH. i want a masterpiece one day please.

The best part about the wheel feet is all the options it provides for movement, transitions between either robot or alt mode and fight choreography; it really makes me wish we got to see more of him in the Bay movies. That opening scene where he chases down sideways in RotF is easily one of the coolest action scenes in ALL of Transformers, granted the Bay movies in general have great action sequences but Sideswipes movements are so fluid it looks like he took down Sideways without the least bit of effort. "Damn I'm good" 😎

My first ever favorite transformer was Sideswipe, and it was the RotF version. I loved the look of the Stingray (and also because I was a child and I was like "Oh my god my name is Ray too"), and having wheel legs, the skating around motion, the sword hands. Whoever designed it knocked it out of the park with that, and when I watched G1 for the first time a few days ago, I honestly just can't say he looks better than RotF xD

Hopefully Wheeljack is next but can’t wait to see what is next

I actually prefer the Siege mold out of all of them, with original red or G2 black colors nudging ahead of each other depending on my mood that day. I Love the bayformer's Corvette altmode almost as much as the Lambo, but all bayformers are trash in robot mode so send it to jail.

I actually really like RID Sideswipe’s design, and his head shape is my favorite part. Also, Sideswipe was the best Bayverse design by far. And hot take, I don’t care for G1 Sideswipe, he’s too generic and boxy for my taste.
