Avatar needs the hogwarts legacy treatment and if zuko is a reoccurring boss he need to get progressively harder with more complicated moveset and set pieces

The pro bending in Legend of Korra was actually fun. Lowkey that alone could be it's own game just allow to players to create their own character, choose an element, allow for customizable playstyles and give it online multiplayer

Korra definitely had the best game, I genuinely had fun with it and its the closest I've ever gotten to playing an avatar game I like. Not sure why they dont just make a fighting game like dbz has done over and over. Put in the original story, plus online 1v1s or 2v2s and call it a day. It really doesn't seem that hard when the avatar is such a great concept for a game

To make an actual good avatar game you need to make an open world game that has non of the existing characters (with some cameos like the cabbage man). Allow players to make new characters and choose bending classes and melee weapons. With a full open world and a sky bison. With its own story maybe it goes along a similar path as the shows but it can be anything

I remember a lot of people were down on the Korra game at the time. I think that came out either a week before or after Platinum's own Bayonetta 2, and in comparison didn't look to be anywhere near the same level. But that was kind of unfair comparison given that Korra was also a budget game. For the price though, I thought it was fine and that final boss I remember being pretty bonkers in all the right way and the switching b/w bending gave me DMC Dante vibes. But it does give that feeling of, "man, how good would this be if they had just a liiiiiiiittle bit more time/budget and made it at least to the level of Transformers: Devestation."

Honestly why don’t they just make a game about a past avatar we’ve never heard about yet that has an original cast of characters and an original story?

Aside from the story, the Korra game is a pretty good foundation for a good Avatar game. I mean if you get a good writer in there, expand the story to include multiple characters with their own abilities, like Lin's metal bending or Asami's moves and gauntlet, you have a good basis for a game similar to Korra.

The Gameboy Avatar games are actually really good, it's less of a beat-them-up and more of an adventure/puzzle game with enemies, but feels satisfying when you progress the story. The only downside is that it was made prior to the series being over so it ends in the middle of the overall plot.

Without watching the full video, Korra's main game better be ranked 1 for the gameplay alone.

I wish they made a game about Kyoshi, giving it the treatment it deserves. Good gameplay, good graphics (hello, we are in 2023) and also good story. Is it asking much?

Legend of Korra was my favorite. I actually felt like an Avatar when I had all the abilites upgraded.

Great video but I don't think you did korra justice. You didn't showcase how you can switch elements mid combat and just how destructive the combos look like at max combo meter. Plus the avatar state. The sheer destruction you can cause with various elements makes me still return to it once every couple of months

I have an idea for an avatar game. Create an MMORPG you create your own bender with any of the 4 elements. Aand with time and like missions and quest you get stronger in that element. Example Fire bender. In the beginning you can only bend normal fire. With time you become a skilled fighter and bender, then unlock more cool firebending attacks, defences and counterattacks. Then at a lvl like 40 your fire can get a different color depending how you (blue flames, green flames ect. And then like lvl 60 you unlock lightning. And you do those with the rest of the elements. Story wise it can be after the original last Airbender story. Like find a partner on your journey (ex a girl/guy that in time as the story goes on you two have romantic feelings for eachother)Join team Avatar as the new person and help them change the world. Like with ever update the map gets bigger. New moves to unlock. New story added. Playing with your friends, pvp that would be an Awesome game

It’s such a shame that the enormous potential avatar could have as a videogame is ignored so greatly. I get that not every company has the money to produce triple A games, that’s no excuse for the quality of most of the games present on this list.

I don't agree that avatar the burning earth is forgettable. I haven't played that game in like 8 years but I can still remember a lot of the levels in the game like the boss fight with the tree, the chase in the library, the stealth segment were you hide in a barrel, the part at the end were you destroy the pillars etc. That game is far from forgettable. Also in the Dutch version of the game there was a really funny line in the beginning of the game were Sokka would say something like "oh no it's awful, I am going to die" after pretending to be sick. The line in Dutch was so funny that me and my brother had this as some kind of meme for literal years when we were young.

My hot take is that season 3 of Korra clears ATLA

I recently played all of the ATLA games, surprisingly I enjoyed the first one (2006) the most! I found the gameplay in the later ones to be less interesting than some of the RPG features of 2006. Plus the team+enemy chatter was charming. I also liked the movie game 🤫 But I consider myself to be a fan of licensed/tie-in games in general lol

Everyone forgets with the korra game it was developed as a budget title it released at £16 , it's a bit unfair to compare it to all the big budget platinum games

I idea I had when seeing these games is: “Why didn’t they make an Avatar version of Infamous?” It would be interesting to see what Sucker Punch would make with ATLA. (Also, I’m specifically talking about Infamous I & II gameplay with Second Sons controls and stuff.) Does anyone reading this think this is a good idea? Zelda Breath of the Wild but make it Avatar. Aang can fly around with his glider, collecting air nomad trinkets, doing side quests for random people because he loves doing that shit. Maybe you can be other people but they have to use Appa. Who knows?? With their titchy world map it’d be so easy.

I actually kinda like that the Legend of Korra game is pretty short. As mentioned, the minigames got annoying pretty quick, and some of the parts in certain missions to unlock certain elements got very annoying as well. So a game being around 3 hours I think is nice as it's less time for it to overstay its welcome. That final boss fight was awesome btw!

While not being a dedicated Avatar game. I did enjoy playing Nickelodeon All Star Brawl. Has 3 Avatar characters: Aang, Korra, and Toph. Pretty fun game and it’s a super smash bros style fighter. There’s also a new version of the game coming out in a few weeks Nickelodeon All Star Brawl 2

From what I've seen, the GBA Avatar games are actually pretty decent. I know one of them is kinda like a Zelda clone.

Burning earth was the bomb to child-me. We had it on the Wii and you could play as Iroh and Zuko in the Arena mode. I spent so many hours fighting with my little brother both in the virtual ring and about who was allowed to play the firebender and who wasn't.

I have a fondness for _Into the Inferno_ and _Burning Earth_ for just how badly they mangled the plot for the sake of gameplay. Like, did you know that the real way Book 2 ended was Aang and Katara fighting Zuko and Azula on the giant drill? And Katara's still shocked to see Zuko working with Azula, even though she has no reason to be, because Crossroads of Destiny never happened in this version? Or how about the final battle was actually between Ozai, Aang and Katara, who came out of nowhere after helping Zuko?

Burning Earth was definetely my favorite. Really like Into the Inferno and also the first game, but Burning Earth had a lot of new stuff... new movesets unlocked by leveling up, different special moves to each character, secondary attacks like the frozen path from Katara or the boomerang from Sokka, that either frozen the enemy or stunned them... And it actually had a good storytelling from the season 2 in a resumed way but didn't feel rushed. Also those flying levels and the arena were amazing, I've spent hours making different duels

Imagine an Avatar game that was like DMC, instead of weapon or style switching, you would have element switching. A game like that would be perfect

I grew up watching avatar as a kid on nickelodean, the fights the characters it was the best for me and my sister, but I never knew there were games of it.

It's been almost two decades and Jade Empire is essentially still the best Avatar game; it's almost criminal how they're pissing away the IP.

Even though burning burning earth was inaccurate with zuko fighting on the drill when him and azula fought team avatar inside the city underground this was a very fun game I don’t get why people don’t like it plus u can fight the bosses anytime when u beat the game

The Nds port of the burning earth brings so much more to the table then what i hear about the ps2 version, its so charming and i feel that it graphically holds up better thanks to the beautiful sprites. Burning earth on the Nds is a true gem when it comes to storytelling sound design and overall aesthetic i finished it so many times and it always leaves me wanting more im so sad it got ovelooked in this video, legend of aang (nds) was fun but it definitely didnt leave the same impact as burning earth and as for into the inferno its just a mess i didnt have fun playing and it felt really unrewarding and irrelevant.

Monolithsoft needs to make an Avatar The Last Airbender RPG like now!

It's baffling that such a beloved IP doesn't have a single good game despite the potential the series has. For the longest time, all I've wanted is an ARPG style game with an original story in which you create your own Avatar, choosing which stage of the cycle you're on, and travel all over the world, meeting various companions along the way. You could choose if you rely on your bending or a selection of various weapons that could give you bonuses in combat, you can mix and match different bending styles to suit your preferences, all that good stuff. Probably never going to happen, but I so hope it does.

I wish they had made a physical copy for The legend of korra. I only have it digital on my xbox.

The best 'Avatar-like' game that is out there would be Jade Empire by Bioware. That game is the closest thing we have to an RPG Avatar game. You can use weapons and bend elements and martial arts and your character is a chosen one figure who has a connection with the spirit world and you even have to take down a dictator and his empire like the fire nation.

Oh man, Avatar: TLA is one of my favorite cartoons of all time. However, the only Avatar: TLA video game I remember playing was Avatar: Legends of the Arena. I remember it being fun for a while. I'm also with you regarding Legends of Korra. Avatar: TLA is better in terms of characters, story, world... Oh and ... HAMTARO

I agree! We need a MK or smash bros type game for Avatar instead. Retelling the story thru game isn’t going to be interesting. Maybe include a story mode within the fighting game. Can you imagine combo bending moves, parry’s, and finishers? I’d go for that.
