Putting Jeff the Killer over Abandoned by Disney is actually criminal. The nicest thing I can say about the og Jeff the Killer creepypasta is that it's fun bad. Abandoned by Mickey is a genuinely well written piece of horror with really creative twists and storytelling. I would recommend Pastra's video on Abandoned by Disney and Creepcast's episode on Jeff the Killer.

I genuinely thought the Russian sleep experiments were real for WAY longer than I'd like to admit...

On the subject of Slender Man, i remember when I first watched Marble Hornets, I was alone in the house, sitting in the computer room in the middle of a cloudy day thinking about how Slender Man goes after the people who know the most about it. The power flickers and I hear something slam outside. Twenty minutes later, I go outside to greet my parents and notice a huge fucking dent in the side of the house's exterior. The dent had been there for years and I hadn't noticed it until just then, but for a brief moment my soul left my fucking body.

I like the original backrooms concept before it got tainted by… everything. Like softlocking yourself out of reality for eternity. That’s fucking terrifying, I swear I’ve had nightmares like that as a kid. Constantly throwing in new monsters is too much, loses its initial spark/unnervingness. But an endless liminal space that never fulfills its purpose of moving you from one place to another? Maybe finding the corpses of those who starved/dehydrated/lost their sanity would be more compelling? The constantly buzzing lights and “loud” silence resulting in paranoia? Maybe it being a mockery of an office could be commentary on our 9-5 rat race work till you die culture? See me after class.

Eyeless Jack is the kind of story that has multiple possible backstories. Whether it be cult members trying to kill him to summon Chernabog (which might've possessed Jack's corpse, Idk), or seeing weird shit so he scratched out his eyes and tore out his mother's kidneys to help his "eyesight." Depending on what story you read, it's very well written I think.

Kwite should totally do a deep dive on Abandoned by Disney. It seems super goofy (haha) at first, but the entries expanding on the original make it legitimately horrifying. It didn’t scare me much as a kid, but I respect it a lot as just a genuinely great piece of literature. Definitely in my top three. For anyone who wants a synopsis on the whole story, Pastra made an excellent video on it.

Polybius is one of my favorite creepypastas for its realism (however much you have to suspend your belief for it), but I love it more for what games have done with referencing it, like the dating sim Arcade Spirits. The second game has an incredibly fun plot involving Polybius. I guess I don't love Polybius, but I love the idea of Polybius.

Sonic.exe started out as a joke, but quickly evolved into a diverse community with good horror and ideas, the remasters of the exe games, VHS and media, Friday night.... funkin.... Safe to say sonic.exe had an evolution and evolved into a loved creepypasta instead of a hated one

Fun fact for anyone who didn't know: NES Godzilla has a sequel that's kinda still being worked on. It's a completely different story of the dude that bought the game off of the first story's protagonist and their trip through it. I'll be honest, the story's less scary and more fascinating if that makes sense. Maybe a bit weary on the idea of committing to explaining the cartridge but hey it's an interesting read.

I think eyeless jack is definitely my favorite creepypasta of all time, wether it be because of the nostalgia of the creepypasta fandom, the simple but iconic design (which also made him really easy to draw), how the story was just vague enough to be interpreted and rewritten in different ways, the fact that most organ-eating related horror instills a primal terror in me I can't describe...or the fact that I had a huge crush on him when I was 10-12.....no comment on that. Anyways, all in all I really like that one! :]

I consider Abandoned By Disney to be the best. It just does horror exceptionally well, and I love how it depicts Disney. Also, it led to the FNaTI games, which I absolutely love.

The backrooms original concept is actually disturbing. I'd say it's Peak (the original) I mean, the original concept is that you're alone in an endless corridor of yellow carpets, yellow walls, and yellow celings with the faint smell of mold. The buzzing light is all you hear as well. Basically, you go insane until either you rot or you get yourself killed

ONCE AGAIN KWITE HAD MESSED UO MY COMBO IN PJSK. AGAGAGGAHAGAGHAHHAHHAJA

A couple other creepypastas I wanna bring up are the "NoEnd House", "Where the Bad Kids Go", and "Suicide Mouse". Each of these had pretty significant roles in scaring me for a very long time. NoEnd House is about the concept of a haunted house where a man goes through it with each room becoming more and more violent and twisted. In the last room, you are met with a copy of you with a number on their chest. You're required to kill the copy to move on. However when you reach the next room, you are granted a look in the mirror only to find you have a number just 1 higher than that of the clone you just killed. Suicide Mouse wasn't as bad, just a Mickey Mouse game where stuff got creepier as you advanced. A lot like Sonic.exe in that regard. Now as for Where the Bad Kids Go... this story is on a whole other level. I'm still not convinced it isn't true. The concept goes that it was an educational children's show that had episodes centered around the theme of teaching moral lessons to kids. As the episodes went on, the lessons became more and more odd. Eventually the show gets cancelled. One thing to note about the show is that each episode ended with a camera zooming in on a rusted, metal door with the text, "This is where the bad kids go." As the camera gets closer, one can hear the screams and cries of children getting louder and louder until it abruptly cuts to black. The writer of the story claims that after this, they go to find this place. They find the bunker, find the metal door, and find the place abandoned. When they open the door, they find terrible, cruel, sickening living conditions. Signs of torture, torment, and cruelty. They turn around and leave the place as fast as they can. (That's as far I can remember. If anyone remembers it properly or I'm wrong about something, please let me know)
