Delicious Party Precure’s reused battlefield backgrounds was definitely a poor choice because Precure fights can already feel quite monotonous by themselves. The best Precure seasons are the ones that experiment with unique fights, enemy designs, and most importantly interesting locations. Also I’m glad you feel the same way about Yes 5 as me. Gosh the romance in that show was godawful. Plus, I’m not a fan of the season’s aesthetic. I so agree about Splash Star! I really think it’s such an overlooked season, because it’s such a genuinely fun and enjoyable season. The villains were handled so well, they were so entertaining and funny. And out of every Precure season, it has some of my favourite episodic stories. It was such a pleasant surprise. Also, Kaoru and Michiru were handled SO WELL!!!!! Star Twinkle Precure was also a pleasant surprise to me. I sorta thought the story fell flat, but I came to really enjoy the fun silly space episodes and colourful aesthetics. Looking back, I really enjoyed my time with Star Twinkle. Hugtto is personally my favourite season and my favourite theme. I will admit, the theme was somewhat confusing at first and felt disjointed. Imean, hell, there was ideas of arts, athletics, leadership, working, cheerleading, time travel and time manipulation, hugging, sexism and freedom of expression, learning what it means to have a heart, literal commentary on late-stage capitalism (lol), as well as a very prominent inclusion of babies and parenthood. Like it’s kind odd crazy how many different ideas are explored in Hugtto Precure. But when I realized the season is literally about “the future”, it started to make sense! Saving the future isn’t just some abstract idea that the Precure and trying to save; it’s something we get to tangibly see with our own eyes. Every episode we’re shown exactly what the future is, and it feels incredibly satisfying to see the Precure literally fight for that future. I really like parenthood and babies being so prominent in Hugtto, as it’s the most literal representation of what the “future” is. Also, the villains are implemented so well into this season and its themes. I’m so glad they consistently showed what the villains were up to after they were saved by the cures… It was so good… Also ofc, I love Emiru and Ruru so much, and I don’t have to explain why I’m sure we all know why heheheheh. Awesome to see you love Fresh Precure!! I still need to watch that season myself, so I hope I enjoy it as much as you did! Great video :)

maybe it’s recency bias but i loved hirogaru sky so much. i do think majesty would’ve worked better if she stayed a teen like she was at the end of the season. i wish they showed more of tsubasa’s personality because we got little nibbles of his awkwardness and tendency to panic. i feel like they could’ve shown us more of his insecurities and how it affected him. i also wished for more side characters to see how characters like mashiro and ageha who are human interact with people outside the main cast. while i did appreciate the chill character focused episode, there was a lot of empty space for more content, cuz whenever there was intense emotion and plot depth, it was amazing! so i loved the season overall, i just wanted more of that same energy that the first half had.
