Truly hard to believe Kvitova has never been #1.

My list: 1. Kvitova 2. Kuznetsova (Both deserved to be number 1) 3. Na li 4. Radwanska 5. Vera Zvonareva 6. Kreicikova (she has a grand slam tho) 7. Sabalenka 8. Ons Jabeur 9. Kontaveit 10. Badosa. Honestly it's not fair Dementieva and Mary Pierce didn't get to second position, and last 4 from my list did.

Petra clearly should have been world number one. It's the biggest mistake and joke in the history of the WTA rankings.

I hope Kvitova can come back to top 5 honestly her game is still one of the best it's just being inconsistent

I want to see Aryna Sabalenka taking the No. 2 spot again. She was much better No. 2 than Kontaveit, Badosa. She has the game to give a strong fight to World No. 1.

My list: 1. Petra Kvitova - self explanatory, she's been the one closest to be wr.1 than all of them, missing out by 1 match twice. Also you don't reach a grandslam final returning from an accident that could have been the end of her career. 2. Svetlana Kuznetsova - pre-2010 she's 100% a threat to all, if she has the same mental strength of Sharapova she could easily be the best russian tennis player since she's basically a complete tennis player just very inconsistent with her results (especially 2010 onwards) 3. Li Na - the best of the rest but not better than the two above 4. Radwanska - the most consistent out of all below, while not the most powerful her consistency in the top 10 is enough to warrant her spot at 4th 5. Vera Zvonareva - her best year (2010) is enough to be rank high than rest but not enough to overtake my top 4 as she basically vanished afterwards. 6-8 (these three are harder to rank, all three may interchange depending the results in the following year) Ons Jabeur - proving to be consistent than the rest of her peers remaining in the list, but let us see in the coming years if she manages to continue this. For now reaching 2 consecutive grandslam finals will probably bring her higher than Krejcikova and Sabalenka Barbora Krejcikova - a grandslam champion, a lot will write her out because of her performance this year, but remember she reached the quarters in AO before getting injured then covid afterwards + she gave Iga her first loss in a finals. Aryna Sabalenka - she's like Svitolina, a threat in wta1000 below but non existent in slams, until she can consistently prove herself in slams she will be ranked with the other two 9/10 - Badosa/Kontaveit - just... luck? I really can't... both only has 1 QF appearance in a grandslam. In terms of no. of titles then Kontaveit will be higher? In terms of wta1000 then it's Badosa. So it's harder to justify their ranks

Kuznetsova is EASILY better than Radwanska, definitely a bit of favouritism going on there. She’s also probably better than Li Na in my opinion.

Agree with those below that Kuznetsova should be #2, and could really have a case for #1 on the list, though I'd keep Petra there based on sheer titles and 1000s. Then Li, and Radwanska (she's too high on this list, considering her more relatively poor Grand Slam showings than the other three).

Kvitova, Li na and kuznetsova should be top 3. They deserve to be no 1 at least for a few weeks.

Hard to believe that Kuznetsova and Kvitova have never been number 1, though Sveta had tough competition like Henin and Serena, but Petra just couldn't be consistent at all and then that horrific attack happened.

I mean no shade to anyone and I'm no one to comment but we saw Badosa and Kontavett (pretty sure I spelt that wrong, apologies for that) as no 2, Sakkari as no 3, Gauff as no 4,; they will go down as some of the weakest players to attain their rankings

The fact that Kontaveit got to #2 was just embarrassing. Out of the 8 1000s and 4 GS tournaments, she only once reached a QF, which was Doha where she made the final. These were the biggest tournaments, and she had the results of a journeywoman.
