Swiss Rolls and Nutty Buddies should be kept in the freezer. It's best for their melty chocolate. It also allows them to be hidden behind the family size roast and bagged veggies in the 22ft upright freezer so that your five siblings don't find your stash.

I'm old enough to remember the Brownies used to just have a few crumbled pecans on top and none of this cosmic chocolate Chip topping. I'm disappointed Matt didn't dissect the nutty bars, you have to tear each layer off and eat it.

Christmas Tree cakes are also better for 3 reasons. The first reason is that they have colored sugar sprinkles on them, the next is that they come in chocolate or Vanilla, and finally, on the package there are little Christmas present tags on them that I used to love using on my parents presents when I was a Child. Boom!

One that most people sleep on is the star crunch. Chocolate, caramel, and rice crispy…

The best part of the nutty buddy is removing and eating each wafer individually.

If you haven’t tried it yet I can confidently recommend heating honey buns in the microwave for a quick 15-30 seconds. It’s impeccable 😍👌

I live right around the corner from a Little Debbie factory here in Virginia and when the wind is just right, you can smell them baking the snack cakes.

You are missing out if you don't throw the Honey Bun in a microwave for about 15 seconds or freeze a Swiss Roll.

Oatmeal creme pies were the first Little Debbies that I had, but then I got to try the Swiss rolls, zebra cakes, nutty bars, fancy cakes, fudge rounds, and star crunches...oh, and the regular brownies. I still remember my brother reading the ingredients on the zebra cakes box and excitedly announcing that one of the ingredients was also used in the SR-71. Later, in college, I discovered the chocolate covered cherry creme round things that come around Christmas...over processed bliss.

There needs to be a bracket style tournament with the rest of the Little Debbie cakes. Have 5-6 in each bracket, winner of each meets in a final bracket to determine the absolute best of the best!!

I get little Debbie's for my students every year and no one ever takes the cosmic brownies. Like no one. I have to beg students to take the full boxes of cosmic brownies. Christmas tree cakes gone in no time flat. Nutty bars gone instantly as well. Cosmic brownies students think I'm mad at them :)

I really miss the Peanut Butter Bars. They were a shortbread cookie, topped with a strip of peanut butter, then coated with milk chocolate

Oatmeal Cream Pie are my favorite. Your assessment of Christmas Tree Cake vs Zebra Cakes was perfect. I always eat any of these with a Dr Pepper and then ping for about an hour afterward. I have a low sugar tolerance but it doesn't stop me.

For those that may be unfamiliar with Little Debbie's exploits: the difference between Zebra Cakes at #5 and Cosmic Brownies at #6 is GIGANTIC! Zebra Cakes are delicious, meanwhile, I wouldn't recommend Cosmic Brownies to my worst enemy.

Nutty Buddy is what my boyfriend calls me. Honey Buns is what i call him.

Nutty Buddy/Bars are my favorite. I love to separate them into layers and eat the layers individually. Next are the oatmeal/cream cookies.

My favorite part of my packed lunch was discovering which Little Debbie snack I got that day: oatmeal cream pie, zebra cake or nutty buddy were the usual suspects but every now & then my mom would toss in fudge rounds or star crunch. I remember telling her the brownies were gross so not to buy them but I can't remember why she didn't get the swiss cake rolls. Its possible she did but my dad just ate them all. I definitely remember having to hide the oatmeal cream pies from him. 😀

The melting factor was always the bug issue with these so we always kept them in the freezer. I am also a bit surprised you didn't take them apart, that was always the most fun, splitting the wafers in the nutty bar, unrolling the swiss cakes and honey buns, and pulling the oatmeal and zebra cakes apart and seeing where the waxy coating and cream stayed. And you are definitely right about the honey buns and old people. I don't ever remember having those anywhere but Grandma's house :)

Growing up my dad's best friend was a Little Debbie Vendor and an antique/hotrod car collector. I remember him taking me for a ride in 29 Ford Sedan and his 27 T Bucket as a little kid. Later on in life, as a teenager I would help this man around his house mowing, painting etc. I remember how scared I was to mow or paint around his cars, in fear I'd break window or damage the paint. These were $90k cars. Good memories. Back in those days I was like the Bob Seger song "Like A Rock"

I agree (almost) completely. I'm a PB addict. So nutty bars are at the top for me. I even agree with the oatmeal placement. I dont like oatmeal, but the melted down iron man added in must be what makes it delicious.

LD's fudge brownies are my favorites: cheap, individually wrapped, and delicious. Oatmeal creme cookies were already a classic during my childhood but, a very yummy treat (no raisins nor marshmallow 😊). Best Honey Buns are from Mrs. Freshley's, period.

My mom puts her Swiss rolls in the refrigerator until she's ready for them. Chilling them makes it taste so much better.

I one of those "dissect the Swiss Roll" people. It has to be done in a specific order: Bite off the ends so everything can unroll freely. Peel off and eat the chocolate coating; the bigger the pieces, the better. It's usually easier to leave the coating on the bottom at that point. Then, starting at the seam on the bottom, peel and break off the chocolate-covered bottom and eat it. Then, using your hand or your mouth, start peeling the cake layer. It usually cracks at a curve, so break that piece off and eat it. Continue until you get to the best part--the cream-packed center. Eat and enjoy. 😋

You must do a part two for this so you will accept that Little Debbie Donut Sticks are the best Little Debbie Snack. Imagine early spring mornings, rockin' on the fenced porch, big cup of coffee in one hand and dippin' a Donut Stick in the other. Ah, the slight chill in the air and that smell of fresh mowed grass. Of course you already mowed on the weekend. Tom next door woke up early and realized he needed to mow before the HOA sent a letter. So his mowing at 6 am in the dark woke you God awful early. And Tom doesn't care that he woke you early. You can complain about the early mowing but the HOA doesn't care about early noise complaints, only late ones. Dammit Tom! Just don't hold the Donut Stick too long in the coffee or it gets all soggy and falls apart in your coffee, though this does have it's merits. Thanks!

Loved this!! I remember when LD had a Tiger Cake (looked like a zebra cake Only it had orange and brown stripes and chocolate icing between the yellow cake inside). Those were delicious. Only thing is now I have to figure out how to cure my cravings for LD Christmas Tree cake...in June.

My aunt used to work at Little Debbie in NW Arkansas when I was a kid. We’d go to visit her and she had a CUPBOARD full of LD’s. My mom was a crunchy mom so me and my brother would like LIVE in the cupboard for two weeks. Best memories ever, thanks for reminding me of it! 👍

I must’ve been spoiled as a Texas kid. Everyone I knew hated the LD Honey Buns because we had Mrs. Baird’s Texas Honey Buns, which were infinitely superior…so I was expecting Star Crunch to make the top 6 sellers. As for the big pack oatmeal cream pies, I was in college before I realized it wasn’t just more cream, the big pack had a bigger cookie too! 🤯

I clicked on this and immediately paused it. I went downstairs, made some sweet tea, and subconsciously grabbed a Little Debbie cupcake. I came back and finished the cupcake before Matt got the first box open. At work, Nutty Buddies go in liquid nitrogen.

I just about agree completely with this ranking. Although, I would argue that the fall snack cakes are the superior seasonal little debbie. All the goodness of a Zebra Cake, but with chocolate frosting instead of vanilla.

I personally used to eat the hell out of the Strawberry Shortcake Rolls. I've finally gotten out of that phase, but man did those get me through a lot of high school

Johnny’s Big Burgers in Clarksville TN has Honey Buns on their menu. They heat a Honey Bun on the grill until the bottom is a little crispy & the honey begins to melt. It’s served with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Pure heaven!🤤😋

Oatmeal cream pies are definitely more southern than “Swiss” cakes, and tastier. Plus, the oatmeal gives them a tiny bit of healthiness. So definitely number one! Sorry, you just made a mistake. We all do.

From 92 until 97, my next door neighbor was the lil debbie delivery contractor. I got boxes of free debs for 5 years….id wake up in the morning and their would be a bag with four or five boxes hanging off my doorknob. I got all the seasonals before they hit the shelves, and all the new style cakes that were being tested before they hit the shelf. Imrepaid in lots of beers…it was worth it. I now have diabetes though, so maybe not….
