Dillenger is not an easy band to get into but when it clicks it clicks. Also I wonder how much Fear Factory you have checked out, they're one of my favourite bands ever and they have a really strong discography imo.

@@tunacrabbeinghandled Yeah, I'm all for thinking for yourself. But I'm even more for honesty, and you can spend all day talking about the virtues of saying Death is not a great band, just to "let your freak flag fly." But you could also say two plus two equals five.

Really good tier list actually, but I do think ne obliviscaris deserve excellent tier 😊 also I was very surprised of the rank of some good power metal bands like Stratovarius or helloween, I do agree, but sometimes ppl underrate these power metal gods, thanks for making this video❤

The ranking is really fun, although I had 158.bands in Don't Know and 64 in Not My Thing 🙂. On the other hand I miss bands like Alcest, Winterfylleth, Panopticon, Kvelertak, Solstafir, Saor, Persefone, Havukruunu, Iapetus, Drudkh, The Gathering, Caligula's Horse, Blut aus Nord, Borknagar or Apocalyptica. They would all make the Top 3 categories. GOAT: Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Enslaved, Savatage, Amorphis, Blind Guardian TOP TIER: Agalloch, Insomnium, The Ocean, Khemmis (not enough albums for GOAT),Windir (same), King Diamond, Candlemass, Haken, Metallica, Obscura, Baroness, Dark Tranquility, Edge of Sanity, Bolt Thrower, Dio, Bathory, Moonsorrow EXCELLENT: Black Sabbath, Slayer, Megadeth, Testament, Tiamat, Sodom, Cirith Ungol, Psychotic Waltz, Rivers of Nihil, Visigoth, Power Trip, Fates Warning, Wintersun, Gojira, Helloween, SOAD, Mastodon, Rage, Paradise Lost, Rammstein

Not sure if it was intentional or not by the person that made the tier list but Black Sabbitch is an actual band. They're an all female Black Sabbath cover band and they're alright.

Really wanted to hear your take on Kyuss because it's one of my favourite bands but it somehow wasn't on the list, which is baffling since The Sword was on it, you could argue it's more rock than metal and that's why it wasn't on there, but so were Misfits and Porcupine Tree

Do yourself a favor and check out Nevermore when you have a chance. Insane guitar work, interesting vocals. Kinda like a mixture of prog/thrash/power.

I would check out Corrosion of Conformity. Their 80s stuff gives Suicidal Tendencies vibes but changed their style in the following albums

I didn't dare to put OZ in "Don't know", while it might be Ozzy. So I googled. It is not. It's a finnish metal band with great album names like "Burning Leather" or "Fire in the Brain" 🙂 Musically it's not even terrible. Speed metal/Power metal with a bit of a thrashy edge. By the way you should google the cover of their first album "The Oz". That is some terrible stuff 🙂

You put my favorite band of all time - Virgin Steele in "Good", and I have to agree, their run of albums in the 90s are PEAK classic Heavy Metal but everything after is some of the worst stuff ever made in the genre (on the same level as St. Anger)

@@Questformetal He left Sleep and formed High on Fire and has released multiple albums with High on Fire. Sleep only reunited recently over the past few years. Pike has toured constantly with High on Fire. They won a Grammy!

Haha, My Dying Bride is a lot more consistent (and better imo) than PL and Katatonia :) You know lots of bands! PL were more experimental in their catalogue, Katatonia... Some of their stuff is great, some is really boring to me (mostly the recent stuff). MDB however, I don't think there is an album of theirs (maybe only Evinta) that I at least don't enjoy. Even the new stuff is wow, very elegant. On their 2012 release you can really hear how authentic they sound, as if they just found their way, after so many years!
