Thanx Craig & Pete! This is, imo, by far the most interesting ranking the albums for me, as far as talking about a band I knew very little about. I'm a moderate Fu Manchu fan and owned Nebula's Holy Shit, but after watching this show I dove into their early albums, and they're really awesome! I can really hear the Jimi Hendrix Experience approach and dig their overall more experimental side of Stoner Rock. And also, a rather "short" catalogue that is easily available thanx to Heavy Psych. Fantastic! Cheers.

Yes, those first few albums and those early EPs are essential listening.

I had heard the name in passing, but it sounded like a prog metal band to me. Then, a few months ago, I was making a purchase on discogs and the seller offered two CDs for the same shipping cost. I saw Nebula, recognized the name, and figured I'd give them a shot. I immediately thought of Fu Manchu, but I thought they were better. When I investigated the band, I saw that they'd indeed formed out of FM. I also thought of Craig cuz I remember him really liking FM. It then began to dawn on me that maybe I'd also heard Craig mention Nebula during their Fu Manchu ranking. I checked, he had. I've only purchased three albums so far, but I do plan on getting more. I find their sound to be much more varied and interesting compared to Fu Manchu, who like to stick to their one lane. 1. To the Center 2. Atomic Ritual 3. Charged

Great ranking Pete, definitely get the first two EPs! But I recommend getting the one that has the split with Lowrider. The lowrider side is even better than the nebula side and those songs are not available elsewhere. Keep putting out these stoner rock vids, they’re awesome

I've loved this band since I discovered them back sometime in the late 90's of course through Fu Manchu. I finally got to see them live last year at a bar with Atomic Bitchwax opening! Probably my favourite show of the year. Both bands absolutely destroyed!

Suprised thst no-one has mentioned the Nebula Peel Sessions release. Contains pretty much live in the studio takes on songs recorded over three radio sessions between 2001 and 2004. Its an official issue and is superb. Quite easy to find on CD but very scarce on double vinyl.

Don't forget that the three of them, Eddie glass , marc abshire ,ruben rumano was original members of fu manchu band !!!

Yeah, very similar to Fu Manchu, which is a good thing, a little more psych elements though. I really like "To The Center" and "Heavy Psych".

I like them more than Fu Manchu, I think people who like Tad, Melvins, Mudhoney etc would like them. At times they really remind me of Mudhoney, especially the 'Since we became translucent' era when Mudhoney got a little more psych. There's a lot of grungy garage elements to their sound that I think will appeal to people who don't usually gravitate towards doom/stoner rock/metal.
