Yessssssss I really hoped he would watch the fire hunter's op. It is so good that I have a hard time starting each new episode without going before to youtube and rewatching it to get into the mood

Oshi no Ko was way too ass of an anime/manga in terms of writing for me to care about any supposed symbolism or meaning in the opening. It just sounded like a by the numbers YOASOBI song with some rather obnoxious elements tacked on to sell the bland idol feel. I agree that it fits though.

fr, idol was one of the best anime openings in general, both the Japanese version and the English version, really get the feels of what the show and song were aiming for abt the industry and ngl, shit hit me in the feels for a bit, Yoasobi really knows how to make a full on banger with a depressing meaning behind it, as usual lol

Is it tho? I mean if someone doesn't understand Japanese it might not fit but Garnt should've understood the lyrics so I doubt he didn't get it. Personally tho I do think it fits,, it's just that it's not that good.. too by the number for Yoasobi song. But then again that's just me.. I like Yoasobi older song but I never been a fan of "Idol" and much prefer Shukufuku from Witch of Mars. Like I do like the song concept of Idol, the fact that it tried to boils down the dirty world behind showbiz in a song is a neat idea but from musical standpoint recent "for order" song is nowhere near early Yoasobi like Gunjo, Tabun, or Kaibutsu. I think it only applies to the "by order" song for anime OP post Suisei no Majo tho since the independent release Heartbeat are pretty alright.

After read through the entire ln i really like the song and I was playing this song in background when reading the final volume too .

Well there are few anime songs that grew in you when you watch it a lot of times, maybe he skipped it a lot thats why it didnt stick out a lot. I dont instantly vibe with onimai or tokyo revenger op first time listening, but I like after a lot of episodes later on.

Like, when people hear it anywhere they lose their shit and say it's great, but if nobody tells them Ranga Crimson OP1 exists they simply never learn about its existence. hell no, "We are" is the best one and the most recognized op of One piece, then "We go!" and then "Hard Knock Days" "Us!" from the egghead arc is good and probably the 4th best op in One piece although it feels more like a One punch man opening rather than an One piece opening. The post-wano op (Saiko Totatsuten) was super generic and the most basic one.

"We Are" is iconic, yes, and represents the pure spirit of One Piece, but its song is not something I would jam out to regularly, and its visuals are dated. "Us" I believe has a banger of a song, and its visuals are absolutely stunning - I think part of what makes it great is precisely that it is not like anything that came before - it is unique.
