Now I understand why 20 years ago I got yelled at for bringing up then recent game in "best of all time" conversation. Recency bias is too strong, I wouldn't be surprised if bunch of these recent songs get forgotten in like 10 years, while classics stay remembered.

15:15 - I don't think people discovered this song via the anime - they found the anime via the opening. Hek I had this song on my playlist literally (no exaggeration) years before I knew of the anime's existence. The vocals are beyond insane. It's just a phenomenal performance and it's got nothing to do with the anime imo!

Karaoke room in an anime convention I used to go to every year was a god damn nightmare the year Attack on Titan started airing. I always liked to chill in the karaoke room listening to people sing when there's nothing else interesting going on, but that year literally everyone was singing the AoT opening, I must have heard it close to 80 times in one afternoon, and all my friends who liked to sing had their turn at the song too. I still hate the song to this day, and it's not even the song's fault lol
