I mean if Baldurs Gate 3 can get awards for music even though it's music is basically similar to monster hunter (just more suited to the games style) then monster hunter should get recognition. In all fairness, I think Monster Hunter has nice music sometimes, but nothing apart from the very best tracks are anywhere near "top 100 songs in gaming". With how shit the list ended up being though, I think it really deserved a spot :(

chaotic gores theme is so good though, its a mix between gore and shagaru - almost peaking but then going back to gores side just as its about to reach the climax just how it failed to shed

What no one ever talks about is how World robbed Jho of his little trumpet fanfare. It was one of my favourite parts of the themes next to the beginning, and they just took it :( Also, do you have the VOD for this stream uploaded somewhere? I would have loved to hear what you said about Nakarkos, as it's one of the most underrated themes in my opinion

I honestly prefer all the gen 1 themes over the dos/f2 and fu area themes. And honestly guidance is one of the best themes ever. GEN 1 JUNGLE AND SWAMP AND DESERTED ISLAND THEMES ARE PEAK AREA THEMES

The MHFU desert theme is not the gen 2 desert theme. In fact, none of the MHFU ost is from second gen excepto the snowy mountain theme. They're all from Frontier.

my personal S tier: - all 11 of Laviente's main battle themes. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. - Rajang. Monke. - Everything Amatsu - Espinas/HR Great Forest - Coral Highlands Battle - Shaggy specifically from 4 cause sunbreak's one sux balls - Nargacuga from FU and IB cause Rise's one sux balls - Fatalis 2 from IB - XX's Proof of a Hero - Everything Safi'jiiva - Everything Kulve Taroth - Shara Ishvalda 2 - Everything Teostra/Lunastra - King Shakalaka. No comment. - XX's Arena theme - Everything Alatreon - Misty Peaks Battle - Iceborne's Yian Garuga - Ukanlos - Valstrax from XX - Peepawtalis - Deserted Island Battle - Forlorn Arena Battle - Jungle Battle yeah i think thats it dishonourable mention is the only song I'd mute, Rise's Nargacuga theme. I have a personal vendetta against that specific song because they just removed the percussion from a song that relies heavily on it to sound good and never stopped and thought to themselves, "Hey, this sounds like garbage!" Edit: there were a lot of spicy hot garbage takes in this video i would give a strong word about if i didnt already waste my energy bullying Nargacuga, Berserk Laviente in "alright" tier is actually criminal

You know what? I'm not done dunking on Rise Nargacuga yet. To add insult to injury, on top of completely nuking his theme with a hot garbage remix and swapping out the percussion for unnecessary choir, they also butchered the hunt! I fucking HATE hunting Nargacuga in Rise to the point where I just dont interact with it. Why? He had a good moveset before and they decided to make him spam the tail check and some AT-Nergigante ass telefragging for NO REASON AT ALL WHY RYOZO WHY
