I actually think that Spider-Man: No Way Home is S-tier in its timeline. What has been unclear has been how other movies have been placed around it. Ms Marvel initially appeared to be happening at the same time as No Way Home, but then they went back and made the Statue of Liberty copper colored, which seems to shove it a whole year later. The No Way Home starts immediately after Far From Home, in the summer of 2024, then leaps forward to the beginning of the school year, then leaps forward to shortly after Halloween, then finally leaps forward to sometime in December previous to the Hawkeye series. It's pretty easy to follow the visual and story cues to recognize when scenes are happening, and it leaves well defined gaps that other movies/shows could have stepped into. While I agree that Dr Strange 2 feels a little too immediately placed after No Way Home, if they put part of another story in that gap it would help. I personally put the last scenes of Eternals between the battle on Liberty Island in No Way Home and the beginning of Multiverse of Madness. The main story of Eternals also easily slides into the gap between the scenes on Peter's first day of school and when he starts getting letters from colleges. While putting Eternals immediately after Endgame certainly makes some story sense, the stability of school/society in the early scenes of that movie don't jive with that. One year later, in October of 2024, makes pretty good sense.

Actually, there is a scene in Hawkeye that shows an invite for Eleanor's Christmas Eve party and we're shown it's on December 24th, 2024. Since the series not only gives us that but from the beginning tells us it's 6 days from Christmas and then ends on Christmas. I'd personally consider it S tier. Especially since it's so rare that recent projects actually include the year within the project. I think Ms. Marvel and the Wakanda Forever deleted scenes might be the only other cases.

@@Geekritique It's easy to miss, but in Episode 5 when Kate is in her room before trying to get ahold of Clint, she looks on her board and we get a good look at the invitation that includes the year 2024.

Amazing video brother! Gotta say as a fellow Spidey fan it’s sad to see Homecoming having the most timeline fumbles compared to other MCU projects, don’t know what Sony was cooking when it came to that 😭 Also hope you have an amazing holiday!

This was weirdly relaxing & very interesting. (The latter part isn't weird.) As others mentioned, No Way Home is pretty clear; it starts immediately after Far From Home, & the passage of time afterwards is marked by easy calendar events. I'd A-tier it.

I really hope u get around to making a DCEU timeline after "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" comes out since that will mark the end of the DCEU. when deadpool 3 releases do you plan on adding all xmen properties to your timeline? including original and revised xmen timelines and loosely connected movies and shows like the new mutants, the gifted and legion?

I recently heard that a book titled _Marvel Studios The Marvel Cinematic Universe An Official Timeline_ will come out on 5 September 2023. If your timeline video will be made after that date, will you be using that book as a basis?

S tier ended up being what I expected, sans Iron Man, though it makes sense to place it there. Avengers: Endgame provides explicit dating for both itself and other films. The FIVE YEARS LATER caption means it must take place in 2023 because Avengers: Infinity War takes place in 2018. The events of Marvel Avengers Assemble is dated on-screen to 2012, so Ross' "four years" reference in Captain America: Civil War means that film takes place in 2016, which also means Vision's "eight years" reference dates Iron Man to 2008. Loki begins by following-on from Marvel Avengers Assemble directly, from his point of view, and also dates the Battle of New York to a day earlier than previously thought, if I'm understanding it correctly.

Hawkeye is so easy to place in the MCU timeline... it takes place on the week leading up to Christmas, obviously ending on Christmas Eve night and Christmas Day, also each episode very clearly takes place the day after its previous episode

@@Geekritique personally I think ITSV should be before Morbius and ATSV should be just after NWH with spectacular Spider-Man, Spider-Man unlimited and insomniac Spider-Man coming off as separate universes like the other films from NWH

The thing I JUST noticed is you DIDN'T even include The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. 🤷♂ You DID include Werewolf by Night, but NOT The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. I'm sure it was probably accidental, but I just thought I'd point it out. BTW, you DO mention it at 14:13.

Yes, you and plenty of others. It’s not as simple as just making it. It takes months of work. As of now, it’s at least 3 months off, maybe a little more. I have other projects I need to get out first.

Of all the the time line and or plot holes things in the MCU the one in ant-man and the wasp is the most irritating. everything we now about Scott's character says he would be in the fight in Wakanda. Even with his 3 years of probation I just don't see any way that any of the Ant-man characters willing to sit on the sidelines when they would be well aware of the fight that happened in New York and how desperate everything is.

Where is jen? He has not mentioned her for over a year. Have they divorced? He says he is going on vacation but never mentions jen or what she is doing or hiw she is. The longer we do not hear about his wife it seems they are no longer together and where he has been recording is not the house he lived in when he started the podcast.

Hey Paul! I’m still very much married. And I am going on vacation with Jenn. She has decided to take a step back from the channel and social media as she is now a teacher. As a teacher, it’s considered a taboo to have an online status, so for a couple years she’s chosen to take some time off from Geekritique. (And yes, we live in a new apartment)
