One thing that always annoyed me about The Final Conflict is that in the previous Omen films it was established that they needed 7 daggers to kill Damien yet he dies by getting stabbed by just one. It's like someone didn't watch the previous films and it created an inconsistent continuity.

The best thing about The Omen 3 the final conflict is Sam Neill himself, he looks monsteriously handsome and charming in this movie, his appearance is terrifying.

Awesome, thanks Cody for the ranking!!! I was surprised how much I liked and enjoyed the First Omen. I love the original Omen, of course, but definitely need to rewatch the rest of the franchise.

@@stephenasmithfanfan5971 I thought that too but I genuinely haven’t loved a horror movie like the first omen in so long. I’m also taking into account recency bias when I say it’s one of my favourite horror films of like the last five years. I don’t believe it is recency bias but maybe my hype for the movie will die down a lot as time goes on.

Good ranking Cody nailed it with the top 3…. Here’s mine 1: THE OMEN (1976) 2: THE FIRST OMEN (2024) 3: DAMIEN: OMEN II 4: OMEN III: THE FINAL CONFLICT…I’ve got a bit of a soft spot for this one as I loved it as a kid…so I’m probably a bit more forgiving than anyone else.😂 5: THE OMEN (2006) 6: OMEN IV: THE AWAKENING (1991)… Hopefully a couple of more prequels released later this year are decent enough…and then maybe you might do a Top 10 Horror Prequels show. 👍🎬

Nice breakdown Cody, I like it. We'll differ on Final Conflict, I think the infanticide angle made it appropriately evil and brought the horror, but I can't fault a fella for drawing that particular line. Great to see the franchise represent well with the new one, cheers bud.

Solid rankings here. Most excellent. Mine is as follows: 6. Omen IV: The Awakening 5. The Omen (2006) 4. The First Omen - this, unfortunately, is the highest rank I can give this one. While it was a great film, it got entirely too much wrong for what's supposed to be a canon prequel. 3. The Final Conflict: Omen III 2. Damien: Omen II 1. The Omen (1976)

Very solid list, I must say. For me, I probably would have a few in different spots. The remake would be on the bottom, mainly because no matter how bad Omen 4 is, at least they tried something different, I could respect that more than just rehashing the same exact thing like the remake did. And I actually liked the second one slightly more than the first, so probably for me, I would have put that on top. And not seen prequel, so not sure where I would put it, but the other 3, very much the same order as yours. Also, I know from seeing your other channel that you are into video games. Wonder if you've heard of a game called Lucius. It's a game where you play a Damien like child character. It is pretty fun. Anyways, enjoyed the video. Thank you, Cody.

I absolutely loved the first omen. The only thing I didn't understand was, in the omen, it was stated that the priest was there for the birth of Damien, and he he said that the "mother" was not a human, it was a Jackal. That was not the case in the first omen. The person who gave birth was absolutely a human woman

Even though Omen IV was universally hated, the plot twist at the end was very unexpected when I first saw the film, with Delia being merely the bodyguard/protector to her twin, Alexander, who is the true Antichrist. Still a very strange film.

Both are great but i slightly prefer the Omen. The Exorcist while is great it's mostly a drama with a couple of really terrifying sequences.

I just didn't find omen 2 interesting past the hockey drowning scene. For me it was like... Damien doesn't even know what's going on and people are dying around him.

Ummm… Excuse me, but _no!!_ I’m calling BS on this _"franchise"_ ranking because, neither you nor most of the commenters, from what I can see, have even mentioned the cancelled-too-soon series, _'Damien'_ (2016), starring Bradley James as the titular Antichrist which, though lasting sadly only one season, is still nevertheless absolutely a part of the *_'Omen'_* franchise & deserves to be acknowledged!! 😠😡🤬

I hadn’t watched omen 3 & 4. I watched first omen last night. I was thinking it was how they wanted to tie how there was a female antichrist in omen 4 but since omen 4 is set after omen 3 that obviously can’t be possible

Never really been able to get into the Omen films.i like the concept but the films/remake and even tv series just doesn't seem to do it for me.its a shame as it is a very well respected franchise.its just not my cup of tea

I like how they portrayed Damien in the sequel, as a cheerful, charismatic, energetic boy, yet he is the same old Damien Thorn from the original!

I respectfully disagree about the 2006 remake being a shot by shot film of 1976. There were various differences. Kathy’s death was different from 1976. There was an extra death in the beginning that’s not in the 1976 film. There’s the pope and cardinals talking about the comet in the observatory. So there are differences and it’s my opinion that it’s a decent remake.

I’ve been watching them in chronological order starting with the new The First Omen, which I thought was AMAZING!!! I’ll be honest, I thought the original was decent but I was pretty letdown by it, and I think 2, 3 and 4 have been absolute GARBAGE! I’m gonna watch the remake tonight just to cap things off, but overall what a super, super disappointing binge this has been.

The only thing I like more about The Omen remake is that you don't have to watch Gregory Peck CHEWING UP the scenery. I can't stand old school "acting." (unapologetic OVERACTING!!!)
